Haven't been able to afford a season ticket before

I was gonna buy one for this season but my main source of income (my Student Loan) didn't come through until December, which was a bit of a bummer because I had no money.

However, I'm getting my season ticket for next season, whichever league we're, and will have to trust the trains from a village in Lincolnshire, or Leamington Spa (depending what time of the year it is).

Unfortunately I'm not gonna be able to afford many away games, but I'll give it my best shot.

Not all Leicester fans are lucky enough to live in Leicester you know.

I go to as many games as I can afford but this season I have only been able to go to one and that was the home match against Preston so its not as if I only turn up for the big games.

I have been going through a divorce for the past 8 months so have had virtually no money to be able to go to games. Now my divorce is finally completed and I'm moving to America in the next 2 months so i cant exactly get to games then either. Its actually ironic that when I am finally in a position to be able to afford to go to games that we dont have a home game for virtually a month. I was desperate to go to the Forest game but I'm over in America that week sorting out my immigration details.

Does this make me any less of a fan? No it doesn't. But I guess technically it makes me a fairweather fan.

Although I'll be subscribing to Leicester City World if that helps

You are not a fairweather fan. A fairweather fan waxes and wanes with league position. A true fan will always support their club in the best way they can no matter the league position, no matter where they are in the World.

Because some people on here dont seem to realise that as much as we all love Leicester City Football club, everyones situation is different.

i had to sell my charlton ticket, cos my m8 who was takin us got banned two days b4 and i didnt have enuf money for the train fair and no space son FT rly p****d me off too but im defo there nxt round regerdess.

I am only 14 so i never had enough money this year and i can only make a few games each year that i either go with my mates or my stepdad takes me. I make as many games as i can but some years that is not many. Does this make me a fair weather supporter??

I'm a season Ticket holder for many a year and I'm guessing that If we get a home draw against a so called BIG team (chelsea, arse, ManURE that we will see some of our 'fairweather fans turn up.

I hate these type of fans who just come for the so called glory fixtures.

What Im getting @ is that we get 16K regulars and 21K in the prem? I wish these fans would dip into there pocket and support whatever the league, whatever the conditions.

(we play better when the conditions are crap...remember pompey away!

Just calculated the costs for my trip to charlton:

Petrol money to leicester - 10 pounds

train to st. pancras (return) - 25 pounds

all day tube and train pass - 5 pounds

ticket - 20 pounds

taxi to great glen from leicester station - 10 pounds

total - 70 pounds plus 20 pounds beer and food in and out of london thats 90 pounds for a weekend!!

as a student i cant afford that every week and to me thats a lot of money i wont be going out for a week now!!!! i know its not charlton everyweek but its an effort on my side to get that together.

and like others have said, i want to be at every game it means so much to me!

That's the key phrase "part-time". Even though you may only be able to get to the ground on a part-time basis, you are a full-time City fan.

Would agree with Lisa here

However how about the old chesnut that we ask all bar around 3,000 City fans.

When the club nearly went out of existance - did you bung in a £10 to the Trust to help save it?

- if the answer if no - then surely that's not showing support in very stormy waters, so isn't that being a kind of fair weather fan?

And guess what, a few of those 3,000 have never been to a game in their lives, but didn't want the city of Leicester to lose its club

Just trying to put an alternative perception on what makes a fair weather fan

As Lisa said it's all down to personal circumstances & individual views of what's important in life (we wondered why downing a few pints or puffing a few fags was more important than saving the club at the time)
