Guest Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 Would somebody please convince Sir Fynwy it's not that bad a place to go?
Ultra Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 The Counting House is far better, as is the Swan & Rushes. Judging by yesterday's events (which included a gathering of the TPH Appreciation Society ), the latter will probably be my pre-match haunt for some time!

Sir Fynwy Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Would somebody please convince Sir Fynwy it's not that bad a place to go? It'll never happen, the beer is not good (when they have any!) and the service is some of the worst I've ever had in a public house.

Coughing and spluttering over my rolls...if I wasn't such a gannet I'd not eat them.

Daggers Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 are you having a good holiday Daggers? Oui? I am very fatigue, merci for asking. It seems like everywhere I cycle is up bleeding steep hills into wind. But it means I don't have to do a thing with/for the kids for an entire week so I'm made up

Do you have a new milkman? où sont vous en France?
Daggers Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I think Mrs Daggers is too soft on you or has been looking forward to you going away. Do you have a new milkman?où sont vous en France? Et nous buy notra lait from le supermarket merci very much.
Nationwider Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Right, that's it! I'm banning you all! He's harsh - but fair.

Coughing and spluttering over my rolls...if I wasn't such a gannet I'd not eat them. The lass in the Swan who served me on Saturday (with a cheese and onion cob, strangely enough ) looked perfectly fit to me, and indeed to my drinking buddy!
