BartonFox Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Especially when the buggers are a league below and hovering above the drop zone. We never f'cking win at that place. Still it's nice to go anywhere confident and thinking that the manager will put out a bit of a reserve side and we still fancy our chances. Bit like when Martin O'Neill used to stick the ressies out at Highbury for the FA Cup before bringing them back to Filbert Street for a replay and beating them on peno's. This is so much better than the last few years, it's like going to your high school disco knowing your going to cop a feel of some early developed bust, get a bit of a grind and a frenchie off one of the birds.
Blue Bob Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Nothing wrong in going there happy, the issue is when you come back sad!!!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I don't like that most fans are going there in a confident mood. I'd rather we weren't expected to get anything. A pessimist is never disappointed. I expect us to lose, just because I've never known any different and as you say it's hard to get used to the idea of going there as heavy favourites.
teblin Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Really looking forward to it,butcan'thelp having a bad feeling.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 A pessimist is never disappointed. True For once I think we are going to win
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 TrueFor once I think we are going to win Well that's f**ked it then. I bet even Leonard Cohen thinks we're going to win.
David O'Leary Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Really looking forward to it,butcan'thelp having a bad feeling. same
Gené and Tonic Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I'm actually really confident and excited about tonight. Could it have anything to do with beating Watford 4-1 I wonder
Sods Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I secretly am confdent but i dont like our fans being confident, it just dont work.
Samilktray Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I'm Quietly Confident......Hope Our Confidence Doesnt Jinx Us

The main thing tonight for yours truly is having a good time. I haven't really thought about whether or not we lose to be honest
Cobbo Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 The main thing tonight for yours truly is having a good time. I haven't really thought about whether or not we lose to be honest To be fair, that is going to effect my having a good time or not
Peacefulred Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 To be fair, that is going to effect my having a good time or not I think Forest fans are quietly confident too but we're keeping quiet about it because weve done it before and set ourselves for a real crash down to earth(eg Yeovil )

Good work, cos Davies pulled your pants down in that second leg.
Peacefulred Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 But to make up for that, you sign their best two players.Good work, cos Davies pulled your pants down in that second leg. Yeah true we signed there 2 best players...after we injured them
The People's Hero Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Well that's f**ked it then.I bet even Leonard Cohen thinks we're going to win. Well, he's wearing your famous blue (Leicester City) raincoat.
Head Honcho Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 By all accounts despite their loss they were all over Leeds at the weekend that coupled with the local rivalry we should be very apprenensive about an easy win.
Geo V Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 It is a cup game and playing lower league sides away from home is always tricky. They`ll try their best but they are division 3 so have limitations, especially when you check the table to see that they are struggling and heading for division 4. Fook the apprehension, lets all beat and then laugh at the Trees.
Lord Nibblington Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I wonder what the reaction will be if we do exactly the same tonight as in the last round.
Geo V Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I wonder what the reaction will be if we do exactly the same tonight as in the last round. Whats that? Play poorly and get through? I`ll have that all day.
Lillehamring Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 it's not unreasonable to be confident, we have the better side and the better form... it's not unreasonable to be pessimistic, we haven't won there in decades, they have more to play for, less to lose... i'd like to think that a 'weakened' city side with competition for places as high as it's been in years is more likely to get a result than a slightly fatigued 1st team suddenly (with no real consistentcy behind it) feeling a bit special.... i assume it's extra time and penalties?
Leonisco Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Whats that? Play poorly and get through? I`ll have that all day. Yeah, I'd absolutely love it if they were all over us for the whole game then in the last minute we run down the other end and score the winner.
Peacefulred Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Yeah, I'd absolutely love it if they were all over us for the whole game then in the last minute we run down the other end and score the winner. I wouldnt mind that either, losing 1-0 to a fairly decent championship side and outplaying them, would take that result right now.
Geo V Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I just hope old boy Neil Lennon plays and comes up against Weso and Clem. That would be a funny sight watching the little lad struggle. This game may force him to retire
