Finnegan Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Born in Ireland never been to Leicester Hurrah. Sorry to be cynical, I just loathe plastic-paddies.
The People's Hero Posted 31 August 2007 Author Posted 31 August 2007 Mustn't.Quote. Partridge. Quote some Partridge. I love a bit of AlPa, but am not familiar with what you're about to quote, snookums.

I've never been but have been meaning to visit for a while. I live in Wicklow which is right beside Dublin We are all eagerly awaiting your arrival
The People's Hero Posted 31 August 2007 Author Posted 31 August 2007 I live in Wicklow which is right beside DublinWe are all eagerly awaiting your arrival Generally speaking (and this is a big generalisation) I like Irish people. I just can't understand what they are saying half the time.
Finnegan Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Generally speaking (and this is a big generalisation) I like Irish people. I just can't understand what they are saying half the time. One of the beauties of living in London. You learn to understand a phenomenal amount of accents and dialects. Yorkshire's still totally lost on me, however, though I'm convinced no-one from Yorkshire has anything of merit to communicate anyway.

Yorkshire's still totally lost on me, however, though I'm convinced no-one from Yorkshire has anything of merit to communicate anyway. So shall we go to Ireland and stay with our new friend in Wicklow (little known fact - this town is actually named of Mike Whitlow but due to accent/dialect issues, the spelling has evolved over time)
lcfcire Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Generally speaking (and this is a big generalisation) I like Irish people. I just can't understand what they are saying half the time. Ah sure we cant understand ourselves half the time

Well, that's the small talk, now let's get down to business"
The People's Hero Posted 31 August 2007 Author Posted 31 August 2007 Ah sure we cant understand ourselves half the time What's your name, sir?

The People's Hero Posted 31 August 2007 Author Posted 31 August 2007 I have the lovely name of Shane or in Irish Seán My cousin's fella is Irish and called Sean. He lives in Leicester though. So you're not him. Do you plan to come over and catch a game some time?

Alex will bring some Lincolnshire sausages (raw) you'll just have to humour him I'm afraid.
