Loake Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Hmmm.I must've read Milans statement a dozen times, and gone through the gamut of Allen vs Mandaric replies, and I think now in all honesty I don't really care who did what, or who turns out to be in the wrong. If I have to make a choice, I choose NOT to choose, and just to back the team, who, lets face it, need everybody behind em now more than ever. I don't expect a win tomorrow. In fact, I expect us to get a hiding, but after this week, it'd be understandable, although a few people i've spoke to expect the players to come out of this fighting and to pull off a tremendous win tomorrow. I hope it happens, but I don't think it will. So, i'm done with this silly 'i'm siding with blah blah blah' business... Chairmen and Managers come and go, but the City always remains. I know where my loyalty lies Apologies in advance btw. I'm a little drunk... for someone who's drunk you talk a lot of senese, agree completely!
lildave3 Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 for someone who's drunk you talk a lot of senese, agree completely! Happy Birthday btw.
Dagha_07 Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 THIS IS A POST ON ANOTHER BOARD AND THOUGHT I SHOULD PASS ON This bloke, Andy his name is, was out with his mate(who works for FoxFM radio, the hospital one) and they went to Fat Cats-as we all know it's one of the hangouts for the players. In there they found, Kisnorbo, Henderson, Doyle, Whitbread and Mr.Allen himself. Well after having a couple of drinks Andy's mate decided he'd go and ask MA what went off, Andy went with him, being a Leicester fan obviously he'd want to know! So his mate asked him straight out......Allen said that he couldn't even pick the team without MM interfering, that MM was constantly telling him who should play, that he had been asking for several weeks for a left-sided player, because he could see we were playing too narrow, yet whenever he went to MM about it, MM was only interested in bringing another striker in. That he wouldn't let him go after the players he really wanted, and he brought players in who he could tell straight away WOULDN'T be good enough, but MM wouldn't listen. He was asked how many of the new signings were HIS decisions...........he said FOUR..... He was asked about Neilsen and he just shook his head and said, DON'T ask....then he said how we had SIX goalies on our books which in his view was ridiculous. He said he knew what was coming because he stood his ground over the JFH fiasco..... He also said(and this will annoy some fans) that the League Cup didn't matter as much to him because the League was the most important thing, even though it was a local derby and he knew what it meant to the fans. MM was of the same view on this so it didn't bother him that he changed the team around for it, the reason he did that was because he wanted those players on the fringes to believe they were a part of the team, because the team spirit was first class and he had got the players starting to believe in themselves. He said IF we won on satdee at Plymouth we could go 6th, and he firmly believed he had the players to get us to the play-offs. He wasn't expecting automatic promotion because of how many more experienced sides there are but he honestly thought he could do what was needed to get us there or there abouts. Then Andy's mate asked him about Clarke, Andy said Allen actually looked like he was going to start crying again when he started to talk about him. Clarke didn't have two heart attacks, he had four, and then he said he didn't care if he got the sack, but for MM to sack Doyle, who got Clarke's heart going again all four times before the paramedics got there he was fuming over. After what he did that night he deserved better treatment. He said that the atmosphere at the ground was nasty and you could feel how everything was controlled, which is why he tried to make the training ground a squad only place. He said he loved it here, he loved working with the players and he loved talking to the fans. And that he's sad he never had the chance to prove he could do the job well. Andy said Kisnorbo and Henderson didn't say anything whilst Allen was talking, but they were watching and listening to all of it. After that they just spoke a bit about the future, wishing him good luck etc then bought him and the others a drink and left them to it.
Daggers Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 THIS IS A POST ON ANOTHER BOARD AND THOUGHT I SHOULD PASS ON Glad you did, very informative. So it was this bloke Andy's mate right? Fantastic.
Guest Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 You know what (hi by the way ive been gone for a while not that the serial posters will have noticed) - the only thing we can do is trust MM. At the end of the day (oh god no not a footballers cliche) we all knew we were going to see strange times when MM bought the club but at least it's brought a bit a passion and interest to the club. When I first heard MA had gone I was as p1ssed off as everyone else but it's happended and we move on. Lets just hope its not Gary Smegson next.

Matt Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 So much for the confidentiality clause then But is it true or BS? You choose to beleive or not. I'd kind of like to believe and kind of do. But bear in mind there's no proof saying it's true.

Daggers Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Fairies exist, reiki massage works and phone-in competitions are 100% honest
Lord Nibblington Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Fairies exist, reiki massage works and phone-in competitions are 100% honest Well. That clears up a few things. Top detecting, Daggers!
FilboFox Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 "Without prevailing unity this club cannot function..." I'd like to see how the club's team can get a unity when he may well "part company with 20 managers" if need be! Its all very well to start saying that he's going to change things around and get the team back into the Premiership but we need a stable team to do that!
Lovejoy Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 I think we just need to try and trust him now, what's done is done. We don't have any other choices right now.
Ultra Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN ....I am not naive and am well aware that people read this and assume it has credibility when none exists. Milan Mandaric A contender for quote of the season, surely? I couldn't agree with him more!
demon_dog Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Sounds like something happened on Saturday. Don't think it was MA's open show of defiance on the pitch, this was to obvious. Was something said or done after the game that Milan didn't like? We will probably never know the answer, speculate as much as we like. It's all water under the bridge now so lets get over it and continue to support the team.
OzFox311 Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Well I have had a few days to think this over, and whilst I still ain't happy with what happened with MA... I think in order for us to keep going on, as Milan said, we need to be unified... and I guess that means in Milan we trust... lets just hope he knows what he is doing and does it right...
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 I'm beginning to think I was right all along...... http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry732590 post #405
Ultra Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 From the OS LinkA MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN Posted on: Fri 31 Aug 2007 Obviously the media will speculate and continue to do so. But when we are in a position to make any formal announcement the supporters will be the first to know. Milan Mandaric Yeah, right, Milan. We all know how you operate. The leak last night to your media mates, carefully timed to "bury bad news" was a classic example. Why should we ever again believe a word you say?
