There's gotta be hundreds of the the little bastards in the pipe

Yes I can see how annoying it is . but just open the doors and windows for a few hours and the'll be gone soon enough.

I used an old really powerful vacuum cleaner that I keep in the garage top suck them all out when I had the problem . Not seen them again since , but i dunno if that was the reason

Maybe but a battered rusty old pot that has given good service.

But you're coming to the end of service, I'm not ;)

Except of course Ken worked for 40 odd years and Lamby probably has yet to clock 40 minutes work.

I do find the fact that you spent more than three decades matching socks quite amazing, kenbo. Shows real staying power. If only you'd applied that to learning more valuable skills. But never mind now I suppose. Good luck in your retirement!

I feel old and you've worked in a hosiery factory longer than I've been alive. How did you do it?!

No wonder you are losing your marbles!

Don't know why I stayed that long. Got used to it and the last few years there were rumours about redundcy. Well more than rumours so I was hanging on for that. Never gave the job market or the need to change careers a though. Probably a mistake but I thought I'd be OK. Then somehow I was accepted for security and thought they were secure. Never had the confidence when in the warehouse to look or train for other types of work. Workmates were not exactly encouraging. When I started the media volunteering I was told you don't need skills and experience just enthusiasm and that gave me a boost that I needed.

No regrets though what's done is done. Who knows I may have learnt to be a van driver then crashed it over a cliff or I may not have met friends I have or I may not be writing this on a Leicester forum but a Forest one.
