davieG Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 shut upi also said he talks a lot of sense on radio leicester etc, but i guess you are one of those people who reads through every post every day and trys to put down other people's threads? QUOTE(Head Honcho @ Sep 14 2007, 12:54 PM) Yeh why don't we bring back Frankie Wortho and Lenny Glover while we're at it I don't see how being a one time great player at the club equates to being rewarded with a coaching/meet and greet contract! OK we don't know what role he'll be given yet but we all know he's only here for one reason and that's so the fans won't be as pissed off about Megson being given the managers job. shut up i also said he talks a lot of sense on radio leicester etc, but i guess you are one of those people who reads through every post every day and trys to put down other people's threads? Are you the same person?
David O'Leary Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 bloody hell, you obviously missed the 'red-danish-penguin-vs-the-cow' debacle... What happenend in the end? seems to have finished now
lookwhaticando Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 Are you the same person? He appears to be. So... one half of him has supported city since birth. The other half has supported city since 1996. I reckon that makes him 11 years old at most.
Lillehamring Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 What happenend in the end? seems to have finished now ach, the only thing that mattered was that TPH brought dylan back, thank god....
FilboFox Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 Why would the players get a buzz, they don't know them as such, as for running the club that's Manadaric or haven't you noticed! I just mean that the collective spirit from the three of them working together would rub off on the players I think and that would lead to better performances... especially with the crowd also happy and creating a great atmosphere at matches!
FilboFox Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 You never know... if we get promoted, start doing badly, Aston Villa do badly as well, then MON might come back with Tags in the backroom staff and help us... One can only hope!
Tommy G Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 I seem to be in the minority whenever talk starts up on ex-players who had successful spells returning, either as a player or as a manager and I must admit whilst Taggarts appointment wont be negative, I cant see how we should be overly delighted with him. Yes he was a great player who made the most of what god gave him and maybe he may toughen up some of the defenders but i am delighted in the way the defence is playing and would much rather that anyone who came to join the backroom staff at the club was a class coach, not an unproven one. I agree. GT is a ledge though, not sure about his actual coaching skills/abilities...hmmm
Milky Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Taggart is to take control of the Reserves by the way. Should give us a chance to see what he's made of.
Simi Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Taggart is to take control of the Reserves by the way. Should give us a chance to see what he's made of. He failed is coaching course, so...
Milky Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 He failed is coaching course, so... Yep. Plus, i notice he wasn't in charge of the under 14's for long, *wink*
Yaxx Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Excellent we have Taggart, im sure Megson will do well, 2-0 win on Saturday! Good call.
Geo V Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 I agree. GT is a ledge though, not sure about his actual coaching skills/abilities...hmmm Of course he is a legend but what was equally legendary about him and players like Stevie Walsh was their love on getting hammered . Not ideal role models in once aspect but in another, great example of players who did well despite obvious limitations.
