Durnerz Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 I personally like to see us sign isiah osbourne from aston villa on loan to add height into the central midfield area and scott sinclair on loan from chelsea. Also both could be potential permanant signings if we were to go up due to the competition at there current clubs which would be great. Isnt Osbourne already on loan at Cov? Clement would be a superb signing if he can still cut it at left back.
teblin Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 We need a dependable defensive left back like clive clark was. Clement woulf fit that bill. If we can get a left back we might have a decent chance of doing something this season.
dog_4 Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 no thats isaac osbourne. I'm just saying really because we have about 8 midfielders at the club who are about 4ft just need some height and strengh has we can often get out muscled in games and then that bit of width and quality on the flank with scott sinclair would be great. Both players need to be playing more football is well. unfortunately it weren't happen If i was manager it certainly would.
dog_4 Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 they are playing well, but wouldn't be good enough to keep us up in the prem if we were to go that far
Jimmy Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 they are playing well, but wouldn't be good enough to keep us up in the prem if we were to go that far yes but we are not in the prem so dont need to buy players for that league, we need players to get us out of this league THEN worry about staying in the premier league
dog_4 Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 I'm very positive. sign fulop, left back, three international midfielders and an international striker. Strange how newly promoted sides sign 12 has beens and a few young players from the lower leagues and expect to stay up all the time.
Ultra Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Clement was a quality player for the baggies under Megson. But then again, so was Andy Johnson..
eaststandtom Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 As the transfer talk forum has disappeared, I suppose we're back to suggesting players in the LCFC forum.I'd like to propose a discussion on Neil Clement. We need a left back as Clarke's career is possibly in the balance. Mattock might not be ready to be first choice yet and Sheehan isn't good enough for a team supposedly challenging for a top 6 finish. Megson had a massive effect on the success Clement had at West Brom and I think under him at Leicester, he'd regain his form. A few seasons ago, Clement was superb. I even thought at one point he'd get near the England team. He's available on loan, QPR are sniffing round. I think it would be a decent signing. sheehan? streets ahead than nils eric and johansson. at the moment, he looks like a competent left sided player who can pass and trap a ball and tackle. save the money i say
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 sheehan?streets ahead than nils eric and johansson. at the moment, he looks like a competent left sided player who can pass and trap a ball and tackle. save the money i say Hmm. Jury's out.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Hmm. Jury's out. Oh their back. And they find Alan Sheehan guilty of being poor.

teblin Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Sheehan isn't good enough. He's a league 1 player at best.
Thracian Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Oh their back. And they find Alan Sheehan guilty of being poor. Five games played this season, five goals conceded and we haven't lost one. Not much different with his other games either - as you well know.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Five games played this season, five goals conceded and we haven't lost one. Not much different with his other games either - as you well know. And as you well know I have no time for coninsidential redundant stats.
dpjfox Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Yeah I think he would be a good signing, agree. Every new manager likes to bring in ex players and as its a problem position for us (and hes out of the WBA team) this suggestion makes sense
