Closest league it has ever been

This league is anyone's i think this season. There is no single team who are looking like they are going to dominate this division. If Watford win their game in hand they will move top of the table yet we beat them 4-1. Bristol City thrashed cov scum yesterday so for now they are top. Charlton who i thought would be the front runners have been a bit lucky in coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Colchester yesterday, and also came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Wednesday. They are hardly getting the results of a Championship winning team. Blackpool who i thought would be right down at the bottom are in 6th and somehow beat us. It truly is such an exciting league so far and results are pretty random. I just hope Leicester can get a few wins in a row to move into the top 6.

If Leicester had lost to QPR yesterday we would be in 19th place and in the end could have lost with the chances they had at the end. But if Leicester won like we really should have done against a shit QPR team at home, we would be in 5th place. Instead we lie in 17th playing Charlton away next week, a key game which we could do with taking a point. We will go above Charlton if we win, could be in relegation zone if we lose.

It's anyone's game

There hasnt been many games yet thats why but i take your point it is close and always is id also say its shit. The stardard of play is Shit, cant remember being impressed with many teams. I rated WBA last year but they lost the players who made them special Koumas, Kamara, Davies.

I think teams like Charlton will need to settle a little but they have some good quality in there squad to me coming back from 2 goals down twice shows good character and i like the way Pardew sets up his teams with Pace.

I feel this league is there for the taking and in a way to get through the games a manager in the Megson mould might be required putting a disciplined organised team out there, i just wish there was another way!! or maybe im trying to convince myself

Yep agree i hope Leicester don't have another season of me saying after every match 'if only we had won we would be in the play offs' and then the week after 'if we had won we would only be 2 points behind the playoffs' 'we can get in the play offs if we win the next 2 games' etc. Then we never win those games, or get enough wins in a row to actually reach the top 6. We haven't been in the top six for 4 years about when we last got promoted from championship.

Yes! We are top of the league,

I say,

We are top of the league!

;)

Yes, you really ooze class and were quite unlucky to be relegated last year...

It was a pretty mediocre league last year as well. I don't think anyone will break 90 points, but I still fancy Watford and Charlton. Watford have the pace and muscle up front, so I've switched them to my title favourites. West Brom and Wolves will be top six, but neither are anything to write home about at the moment.

If we have a slow start, it's no cause for panic. One loss in five is ok, and the the squad is better than last season.

We just need the Meg to inspire us......

Last season was really tight dont forget and this one should be similar. There are some decent clubs who will be challenging but no one seems stand out. i know Watford won today but were 2-1 down with 8 mins left the lucky sods. Charlton are all over the place, we cant take our chances, West Brom have lost 2 of there 5 games and Wolves have suffered a similar fate but have managed a draw as well as two defeats!

Top 6 is there for the taking but we need to stay with the leading pack until January because we`ll arguably be in the strongest possie to improve our squad with player purchases.

I'm feeling a sense of déjà vu about this topic 'n all.

I swear we had the exact same topic of discussion almost exactly a year ago.

I still stick by my word that the championship is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, with 6 new teams coming in each season, 3 from a level below and 3 from above, the championship is great.

Whereas only 3 or 4 clubs a season have the chance to win the premiership, who knows who'll win the championship, especially when getting into 6th place can still land you with a place in the premiership.

Wasn't there only a few points between 3rd and 11th last season?
