Martin Allen on ssn on leicester fans

Great guy and is will be in LCFCs minds all season if things start to go well. His transfers and his team basically, if they do well and head up the table then he deserves some of the credit.

Why ?! The guy wished Milan, Megson and the club well was not bitter about it. Fair play to the man and i hope he does well when he gets back into management.

He was good value in his pre and post match interviews and has the charisma that most fans would like in a manager but to call him a legend is a bit far fetched considering he wasnt here for longer than 5 minutes! I suppose we`ll make Wortho a legend too as he won more league games than MA and saved us from relegation!?

2(+1 loan) of his signings started last night!!

hardly his team

the only credit he is getting from leicester is in his bank account thanks to his pay off

good riddance now we have a manager with more experience.

with allen in charge playing 4-4-2 we wouldve been hammered last night

no fryatt or stearman working their bollocks off, no 5-3-2 which won us the game, no hume up front(which everyone seems to prefer).

What a great bloke. If i was in that position I would'nt want anything to do with Leicester city ever again, and Allen is telling us to get behind the chairman who fired him after 4 games. Perhaps legend is abit strong, but he's certainly a top notch fella

Allen had a lot of charisma and he seemed to have the ambition that we all wanted to see but it simply didnt work out because he and Milan had several differences of opinion, examples

*Allen had wanted to dismiss certain staff at Belvoir drive because they didnt fit in with his plans, irregardless of how long they had worked there.

*He lost respect from more than 1 senior player and despite the seemingly good morale, the younger players were more afraid of Allen and his bad temper than respectful of him.

Milan wasnt impressed with this and wanted a Manager to come in and build the club up from within not rebuild his own way. Despite what certain sections of supporters say, Milan has bought into the idea of the club just as he did at Portsmouth, to him this isnt just a business prospect this is a way of life and he wants that life to exsist in the Premier League.

I am gutted that it didnt work out for Allen but I have to have believe that Milan did what did for the good of the club and that he genuinly felt that Allen wasnt good enough to lead us up. I think potentially Megson could be a great City Manager for the Championship just as he was at WBA. My only real fear is that he isnt cut out for a higher standard and that should we make it back up to the promised land in the next 2 seasons there will be more uneasy and uncertain times ahead for us, the ever suffering supporters.

The saying is that it isnt easy being a football supporter, thats wrong, its much harder than that.

A lot of people were very fond of Hitler until they found out what he'd been up to. It's very easy to be seduced by the flags and parades and Hugo Boss uniforms, but scratch the surface and all may not be so very rosy.

I'm not saying that Allen is a Nazi tyrant, far from it, but it worries me that people are willing to bestow an almost god like status on a bloke that they know next to nothing about, bar a few soundbites on the telly and some charmingly hamfisted web postings. He wasn't here long enough to achieve anything and he could be the biggest tosser on the planet for all we know.

He might be lovely. How can we tell?

His English may not have been the best but he is a typical cockernee so can be excused. I found his pre and post match conferences worthy of reading or listening too because 99% of the stuff that most managers spout is mundane and boring. People like Moaninho and Ian Holloway were always good value with coming out with some weird stuff and MA was similar in his football speak. Who could also forget that weird grimace/smug look when he approved of something lol

That will be sooner rather than later, especially if stories of a move to QPR prove to be true.

He showed great dignity in the interview, something others still at our club haven't always done in their recent dealings with the media.

And he's come out of the club in better shape than Clive Clarke has...

Allen was everything you wanted off the pitch for interviews and saying the right things. But that's about it, we're in another new era now, so let's get behind the new era and push us on. We may not like what we see or hear, but it's probably going to be effective.

Please lets not dig up the past, arrgh? Whoever plays Hume on the wing and DJ upfront is worthy of pseudo-chump status.

Im not saying that I would have played Hume in that position but that "chump" did manage to beat Watford 4-1 with that line-up.

No legend but from what we saw on the pitch things were going in the right direction.

Time to concentrate on the newly labelled Ginger Mourinho lol

He isn't a speck on Mourinho. He (Megson) wins one game against a Premiership side and everybody's petting the proverbial ginger nuts.

Things weren't going in the right direction with Allen, they were shyte against Forest (Clarke-attack game) and Blackpool prior to that. And some Allen signings, Hellings and by the looks of it Campbell too, don't look capable at this level. Thats 2million of Mandy's money on an unproven when he wanted Hasslebank (he'd be shit too..but on-a-free shit), or at least other striker plans.
