The People's Hero Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 aka Dvorak's Symphony No 9 Opus 95 "From the New World"Anyroadup he's only going for a month.........what's all t' fuss abowt? That's the badger. I actually quite enjoy the tune though. Leeds will run out of steam before too long - don't worry about that. Siege mentality at present, when they get to around mid-table, motivation will wane, spirits will drop, big suspensions will kick in due to ill-discipline and we can resume laughing heartily again. It hurts to laugh for too long at one time, treat this as a breather, ready to resume with much gusto very shortly.
ASH17LCFC Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 We thrive on the nation hating us. It's what makes it more fun supporting Leeds Keep it coming, we love it!Where was I racist? You simply have a lot of taxis. You're the racist one if owt. Please explain, and we have alot of taxies ... Thats a racist comment right their.
lcfc alex Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 don't you think somthings going on behind the scenes he has made eight apperances (thats missing one or two games if you keep count) scoring one goal and your telling me thats bad enough to go out on loan
The People's Hero Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 This guy is just an idiot, guys, leave him to his second rate football team and 10th rate mentality. Racist fookwit.
Blue Bob Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 So your saying we have more taxis than Leeds? Do you have evidence to back this up? Or are you just trying to dig yourself out of a hole?
Kent Fox Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 You do know leeds are the champions of europe That made me PMSL on Saturday. The fcuking morons kept singing it as if it was recent... They do have a large range of songs though. It's just a shame that they are all crap and sung with a dialect that grates. I haven't stood with so many fcukwits since I went.. err.. actually, I have never stood with so many fcukwits.
Tommeh Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 Shocking news. Looking at our squad now, it just doesnt feel the same as it did last night

Joe. Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 I was shocked when I saw this earlier De Vries has been starting regularly this season, and now he's gone off to a League One team? He offers much more than Cort at the moment could. Bad decision.
Jack Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 Terrible Decision in my eyes. De Vries has played well this season and he is better than Cort but we have got rid of him just doesn't make sense. He is a player that we could use to our advantage because of his strength and he holds the ball up well. Leeds of all people to send him out on loan to aswel so now we are helping them cnuts.
Kent Fox Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 Terrible Decision in my eyes. Terrible Eye Bogies in my eyes. And really big bags under them. I need to sleep but have to go and cook Shepherds Pie
The Reverend Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 Does'nt seem the best management to me. Cort will of course end up on the treatment table in a week or two, and when he does, who plays the big man role that Megson craves? Piss poor management.
davieG Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 Does'nt seem the best management to me.Cort will of course end up on the treatment table in a week or two, and when he does, who plays the big man role that Megson craves? Piss poor management. Loans in I would imagine I'll back Megson over new faces - Milan Chairman Milan Mandaric will back Leicester City manager Gary Megson with any new signings he wants. The in-coming manager has inherited the 14 new faces brought in under the previous regime. But he may soon have his own signings to work with once he has indentified them in the next week or so. Mandaric is expecting to hear of some targets during the two-week international break which starts after Saturday's trip to Sheffield Wednesday. And, at the end of the month, City have the exciting prospect of a Carling Cup tie at Chelsea. Megson hinted after Saturday's draw with Stoke that some of those challenged to prove themselves so far have not come up to the mark. Any deals will not be straightforward because the transfer window is closed. But loan signings, some with a view to permanent deals, can still be made. Mandaric said: “I will support the manager all the way, just like I always do. “The manager is going to review things over the period leading up to the next international break and he may want one or two new players. I will not be opposing that. I will support him and support the club because that is essential if we are to take the club forward.'' Mandaric is encouraged by what he has seen so far from Megson. He said: “I see that we have a man with a good football brain. Of course, I was disappointed with the way we played in the first half against Stoke. “But, when the two boys (Iain Hume and Matty Fryatt), who had been rested after the Villa game, went on, it was a lot better. I see better organisation in the team and the ideas of what we are trying to do. “In this division you sometimes have to grind out results. But overall it is clear we are going to be well organised. "The manager is still looking for his best 18 or 20 players and what we need to do is put the puzzle together. If that needs more new players, I will get them for him.'' City Reserves take on West Brom tonight at Hinckley's Marston's Stadium in the Pontins League Cup (7.0).
Daz.I Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 Terrible decision as was the starting line up against stoke , De Vries has fought his way back into the team pretty well and was starting to become a asset for us.
WetFlannel Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 he seemed hungry and actually seemed as if he wanted to work hard to put a leicester shirt on, he came so close but id still like to say thank you for actually putting in the effort to play for us again. He obviously had a poor first season but he came back with a determination, good luck de vries
Thracian Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 The racist sentries have found another axe to grind. It's every thread alike these days. They could see racism in someone selecting a quarter of jelly babies. No idea who's right in this case cos I can't be bothered to read such shit. The word is a total turn-off to me. It's invariably politically motivated and often by the sort of shameless manipulative hypocrites that run our country. Like Harriet Harman. Labour's deputy leader says the only way to get more black and Asian MP's is to have all-black shortlists in constituencies with high ethnic minority populations. Why I ask is it okay for a Labour minister to say Asians should be represented by Asians and blacks by blacks when there would be an outcry if any opposing politician said predominently white areas should be represented by whites. It does however show that Harman is so blinkered (or opportunistic) as to see folk in terms of colour rather than as people which is how they should be considered. Why anyone would vote for such patronising idiocy I cannot imagine. But they will. As Harman well knows.

Yeah true, but im struggling to think of anyone better who would be available on loand apart from some young untested lad from a big Prem club. I dont know.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 I think people should stop comparing him to Cort, who I admit is possibly worse, because it is making de Vries look better than he is. We need a proper target man that can head the ball, neither de Vries or Cort are the answer. We need to look for someone in the mould of a Steve Howard. Therefore I agree with the decision to let him go, hopefully it measn we are lining up a loan replacement before the end of the week.
Thracian Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 Yeah true, but im struggling to think of anyone better who would be available on loand apart from some young untested lad from a big Prem club.I dont know. I just hope the ground out victories MM's priming us for don't turn out to be ground out draws and defeats. And organisation is fine if it doesn't destroy expression which it sure shows signs of doing right now. Because no-one really tried anything against Stoke, against QPR, against Villa, or against Charlton (by reports). Mandaric says the right things - he did when MA was here - and there's no doubting that he'll spend some more money. But the question I'd ask and like answered is this. Are we ever going to have some football? Not some form of tactical team strangulation. But real football? With speed, commitment, clever interplays, shots on goal, numbers driving into the box? I've heard the "we're working on it" speeches time and again but what is being worked on - what sort of side are we honestly trying to create. Cos I hate the word "grind".
He's not bald Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 Agreed, He is not good enough, never has been never will be. Im just glad he has gone to Leeds so they can suffer the pain of watching the overgrown donkey play. Leeds unbeaten without DeVries, watch him drag them down now too. Go on Mark do at least one thing for the city. Yep they deserve each other good effin riddance, he's got to be worth another -6 points that's -21 in total, couldn't happen to a nicer manager (the little weasel)

Guest Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 The guy is a wind up merchant, who came on here to provoke a reaction. I wouldn't waste my time defending the bloke, to be honest.
Pub breath Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 They never fooking won it, Thats are stupid they are. They won the uefa cup but that doesn't make you champions of europe does it. Leeds fans are the biggest bunch of ****** you'll ever come across. Kind words. A big, manly Yorkshire hug for you for your troubles, love. If you're going to brazenly fire accusations of disabled-ness around with gay abandon, you're always best to make sure you're not surrounded by glass carlessly flinging rocks about the gaff. The chant which is the focus of both your bemusement and amusement was a "protest chant" cooked up shortly after Leeds being robbed out of winning the 1975 EC final by a corrupt referee on the take. When it's the only trophy you've never won, it sticks in the throat a little not to have completed the set and therefore, the anger is still residual in today's generation as well as those who still remember it all too well. Henceforth, the chant of "we are the champions, champions of Europe" has become a mainstay in our repertoire and still enjoys a healthy airing nowadays. Obviously, the choice is still yours to mis-represent fact should you choose to.
