Raj Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 The guy is a media tart, just loves to be on skysportsnews giving his opinion on everything and anything. Er...it was an interview....with Milan Manderic....and they asked him questions.....and he answered them....what's the problem??
Master Fox Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Witty Thanks ash17lcfc, you're the kinda of guy i'd like become one day. Teach me your ways, please? I enjoy reading your posts so much, i just can't imagine what FT would be like without you. Ooh ash
ASH17LCFC Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Thanks ash17lcfc, you're the kinda of guy i'd like become one day. Teach me your ways, please? I enjoy reading your posts so much, i just can't imagine what FT would be like without you. Ooh ash I did learn a lot from Masterfox. I learnt from his mistakes. We’re very different people; he used humour where I use discipline. And I learnt that nobody respects him. And in a war situation, if you want your platoon to go over the top with you to certain death, it’s no good saying to them ‘Please come with me lads, I’ll tell you a joke.’ It’s a direct order ‘Come with me.’ And they’ll go ‘Yes, he’s got good leadership skills, let’s all go with him to our certain death’
ASH17LCFC Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Er...it was an interview....with Milan Manderic....and they asked him questions.....and he answered them....what's the problem?? How many interviews does he do a week then ? The guy has got his arse in the air waiting to be fooked by SkySportsNews.
Raj Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 How many interviews does he do a week then ? The guy has got his arse in the air waiting to be fooked by SkySportsNews. Go on then pal...How many times have you seen him on Skysports THIS WEEK????
ASH17LCFC Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Go on then pal...How many times have you seen him on Skysports THIS WEEK???? I have seen him on SkySportsNews twice this week, most of the time he is on about Chelsea new manager or the toilets at Portsmouth.

Masterfox everytime!
Raj Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 I have seen him on SkySportsNews twice this week, most of the time he is on about Chelsea new manager or the toilets at Portsmouth. ????? You seem to have a problem with the current regime at the club don't you pal?

You always get the odd person who doesn’t appreciate what you’re doing, shouts silly things.
Master Fox Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 You always get the odd person who doesn’t appreciate what you’re doing, shouts silly things. I really wish i understood what you meant????
ASH17LCFC Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 I really wish i understood what you meant???? I suppose I've created an atmosphere here where I'm a friend first, boss second. Probably an entertainer third.
syston_fox Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Someones getting good use out of "The Big Book of Quotes" tonight aren't they?
Raj Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 I suppose I've created an atmosphere here where I'm a friend first, boss second. Probably an entertainer third. Think you need to get some rest pal!
ASH17LCFC Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Get behind Megson Raj, Chant his name and when we lose on Saturday you can tell everyone, how Megson will get it right and things can only get better.
Raj Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Get behind Megson Raj, Chant his name and when we lose on Saturday you can tell everyone, how Megson will get it right and things can only get better. Oh i really wish we still had Martin Allen. He was a legend wasn't he??? We'd have been top of the league with him eh??? Were's he going next...Gillingham?????
Thracian Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Get behind Megson Raj, Chant his name and when we lose on Saturday you can tell everyone, how Megson will get it right and things can only get better. I know it's not Alton Towers entertainment wise but we've lost once in five under Megson and beaten Premiership opposition to nick a place in the last 16 of the League Cup. My reservations about Megson's ultra-defensive mindset remain but with Weso and Clemence getting injured and with various supposedly quality squad reinforcements proving less that functional in terms of fitness or the standard of their football - I think it might be fair to cut the manager some slack. He was hardly spoiled for choices and while the good ship Leicester City might be no Fairline at least Megson's piloted her fairly smoothly through some tricky waters.
Raj Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Bloody ell. If Thrac aint hammering Megson things can't be THAT bad!!!

You're only happy because he's playing you're mates. Billy king keeps playing this man will be happy.

Vacamion Posted 5 October 2007 Posted 5 October 2007 You're only happy because he's playing you're mates. Billy king keeps playing this man will be happy. As in the lesbian tennis player ?
Thracian Posted 5 October 2007 Posted 5 October 2007 Bloody ell.If Thrac aint hammering Megson things can't be THAT bad!!! I'm watching him! And, with the defence now seemingly tightenend, it'll be progress in an attacking sense that needs to be seen.
Mark Posted 5 October 2007 Posted 5 October 2007 I'm watching him! And, with the defence now seemingly tightenend, it'll be progress in an attacking sense that needs to be seen. The defence isn't tightened. We're playing with two back 4's, which any team in this division would have a tough job breaking through. Maybe if we start playing with more than 1 midfielder a match and the defence isn't conceding too many we could say it's tightened, he's conning us at the moment. Unfortunately for us Megson is years behind everyone else, football has moved on.

I don't think there is anything wrong with tightening things up and making it hard for sides to score against us first and then hoping for a goal or two at the other end. The problem is where we should have at most 4 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders and at least attacking wide players with the forwards, we are at the moment playing defensive players in wider positions. We can look at Man United this season who are struggling to get goals (at least they are playing attacking players though and trying) but because they are sound defensively, the have come away with six 1-0 wins already this season. If we can somehow get some more flair on teh wings and get two strikers firing, we may be able to grind out some 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 wins ourselves. I know its not teh ideal way but we have got to somehow get our heads around GM and his ways unless he fooks things up and his methods are indeed proved to be prehistoric as you say.

However he chooses to have done it the defence seems to be sound. That he appears to have detracted from other areas as a result seems beyond question to me but he's decided to tackle the defence first and I am prepared to wait and see whether he can now make the other areas effective. I see no reason with so many defenders why we wouldn't play at least two attacking midfielders or even three if necessary assuming they are the types that can ebb and flo a bit depending on the situation. King, Clemence/Kishishev, Sheehan springs to mind or Newton, King, Clemence/Sheehan, but there really are a stack of options without even mentioning the still-not-fully-fit Porter. The problems arise when everyone is fit and the best players available would not necessily give us the most attacking option and, if we're not going to get goals from the wing-backs we really need some from centre midfield.
