the_bowman Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 I've read through the rules, and I can't see how this could infringe any law, so sorry if it has been posted before. Could a goalkeeper, in his own area, pick up the ball, tuck it under his shirt, run the length of the pitch and then release it into the opponents net, provided he does not touch the ball again with his hands? Just curious. If anyone finds a foul in this then I'll try and look it up and discuss

So what about old whatshisname who runs around playing keepy uppy on his head? Is that unsporting??
David O'Leary Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 Yeah I was thinking of that, I was just wanting a complete definition to make my final decision No problem
the_bowman Posted 11 October 2007 Author Posted 11 October 2007 Its obstruction? Well I thought that obstruction was "preventing the goalkeeper from releasing the ball from his hands"?
Stevosevic Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 How long you been a Ref for ? WTF is your sig? Martin Allen is not a legend, stop all the Allen arse licking FFS!
Bryn Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 I'm sure there's a bit in the rules that says you're not allowed to use inanimate objects to move the ball, like a stick, or launching your boot at it. I'd imagine the jersey would come under that rule if I'm correct.
ASH17LCFC Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 WTF is your sig? Martin Allen is not a legend, stop all the Allen arse licking FFS! I take it when Allen got the job, you was againt him getting it ? Didn't think so and i can show my respect to the great leicester legend that he was and is.

No, i wanted him to ge the job instead of Rob kelly, i again was one of the first people to mention he should get the job this summer and i was delighted as it seemed a shock when he was appointed. A Leicester Legend he is not.

So what about old whatshisname who runs around playing keepy uppy on his head? Is that unsporting?? It is against the rules because it is unsporting behaviour That lad is allowed to do it because he is only heading the ball, not using his jersey

You need to give a manager a chance.MEGSON OUT !!! Whats that got to with anything? I am questionning you calling Allen a 'Legend' - it's disrespectful to the real legends of this club. Megson out? You need to give a manager a chance. Megson is here, Allen is not. Get on with it because he isn't coming back.
the_bowman Posted 11 October 2007 Author Posted 11 October 2007 It is against the rules because it is unsporting behaviour That lad is allowed to do it because he is only heading the ball, not using his jersey after digging through all of the arguing, I have actually found an answer Tnanks
