Finnegan Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 Why did my sig get deleted ? Again, not my work.
James. Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 ash17lcfc - you appear to derive pleasure from controversy. When controversy is in the context of well informed, constructive arguments then it is something that can earn you respect. No one wants a sheep, but then no one wants a c**t either. You have a long to go before your "controversy" is considered anything other than that of a fool.

Geo V Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 at this thread! Talking of players taking the laws of the game to the limit, who about the new Brazilian wonderkid Kerlon who has got this skill whereby he flicks the ball onto his head and goes on a run with it almost stuck to his head ??!! The so called Seal dribble! All his opponents can do is boot him in the legs or stomach

Geo V Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 Notice how he really does get clattered in every video you see of him doing that... Its become a big thing over in Brazil who think he is taking the pi$$. Fair play to him for keep trying it and not giving two tosses about being booted or headbutted.
syston_fox Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 Ok, this is getting boring now and I shall be the bigger and better man and walk away. Ahh, i see your delelted the ash17lcfc thread And clearly you failed miserably!! Didnt I read on your sig at one time that you were "retireing" from FoxesTalk? What went wrong???

David O'Leary Posted 11 October 2007 Posted 11 October 2007 I dont see why people dont do this more often in the game ..... Ive seen Carl Cort do it many times at the Walkers

The keeper then places the ball in the players "bowl." Can the player run up the pitch, ball in bowl and jump into the goal and would this be allowed?! I'd absolutely love to see it happen

I'd absolutely love to see it happen Well I can't see why not - it's just like the "seal guy" who dribbles the ball on top of his head... I suppose it's his hair carrying the ball. Well, it's one damn good header anyway!
Daggers Posted 12 October 2007 Posted 12 October 2007 ...and on a related issue: Has it become illegal for DJ to score a goal by any means?
the_bowman Posted 12 October 2007 Author Posted 12 October 2007 ...and on a related issue: Has it become illegal for DJ to score a goal by any means? Yeah, he got nicked the other night with a couple of shady characters, a crushed up can and two jumpers in a dark back alley. It's so sad how some of 'em go
Father Ted Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 I've read through the rules, and I can't see how this could infringe any law, so sorry if it has been posted before.Could a goalkeeper, in his own area, pick up the ball, tuck it under his shirt, run the length of the pitch and then release it into the opponents net, provided he does not touch the ball again with his hands? Just curious. If anyone finds a foul in this then I'll try and look it up and discuss Doesn't a Goalie have to bounce the ball or release the ball every 6 seconds??
the_bowman Posted 14 October 2007 Author Posted 14 October 2007 Doesn't a Goalie have to bounce the ball or release the ball every 6 seconds?? An indirect free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a goalkeeper, inside his own penalty area, commits any of the following four offences: • takes more than six seconds while controlling the ball with his hands before releasing it from his possession • touches the ball again with his hands after it has been released from his possession and has not touched any other player • touches the ball with his hands after it has been deliberately kicked to him by a team-mate • touches the ball with his hands after he has received it directly from a throw-in taken by a team-mate

The so called Seal dribble! [/url]All his opponents can do is boot him in the legs or stomach that is the shittest thing iæve ever seen - he gets clattered cause he can't see where he's going and runs into a player... he has to keep moving so all you do is stand in front of him, that's why no one does it cause it's completely unproductive and makes you look like a cock.

He is getting clattered! As I said on a previous post the players think he is taking the mick and maybe they are right as its not one bit of amazing skill that proves to be productive but just some dude who has mastered a skill and doesnt seem to have any end product from it but there is no doubt defenders are just hammering him as they dont know what to do to stop him. This one almost started a riot...
Finnegan Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Thing with Kerlon is he's a decent free kick taker, so it's a great gimic. Run like a moron, get hit, win a free kick, score it.

SystonFox Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 i have thought of another strange way to score and i've never heard of it to be a foul. a really tall guy grows an afro, the keeper places the ball in his 'fro and he runs the length of the pitch into the oppo's goal. ofcourse the 'fro is so thick even if the oppo CB knocks him it wont move. ofcourse its unsporting but it'd be damn funny to see someone with a fro with a ball in it.
