Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 when he went left, went to Saints, left again and rejoined Milan... Won't happen but worth a punt!!
FilboFox Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Pff... 'bout as likely to happen as I am being appointed... On Football Manager '08 Editor, Martin Allen is down as one of Mandaric's most hated people with a 65/100 score!
Head Honcho Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 I'd say that MA has as much chance as anyone of getting the job
Head Honcho Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 I'd say that MA has as much chance as anyone of getting the job .........................although his decision not to sign Fowler and Hasselbaink may well be the worse made at the club since Taylor signed Akinbiyi
Bourne blue Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 With Milan Mandric as chairman and with his record while at Leicester can anyone second guess him with his choice of replacement for Megson !!
RedOnRed Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Redknapp might have fallen out with MM at Pompey but unlike Allen Redknapp wasn't a completely unlikeable person.
gomez_addams Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Bring in Walshy as manager!!!!!!!!!!! Vote here http://poll.pollcode.com/NIjU_result He's here, He's there, He's every ******* where!!!
He's not bald Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Redknapp might have fallen out with MM at Pompey but unlike Allen Redknapp wasn't a completely unlikeable person. You should start to feel afraid...very afraid...MM could well be in a town near you...and very soon!!!
SamL Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Its never going to happen. Milan didnt think he was the right man for the job, he wont have just changed his mind.
Sods Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Bring in Walshy as manager!!!!!!!!!!!Vote here http://poll.pollcode.com/NIjU_result He's here, He's there, He's every ******* where!!! That would be aweful, same as gerry taggert. They might have been great players and ledgends but lets leave it their and remember them for that. We need a manager that isnt new to the game, or is too old. Lets get the righ tman this time.

RedOnRed Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 You should start to feel afraid...very afraid...MM could well be in a town near you...and very soon!!! Apparently Ince has already turned down quite a few lucrative offers from higher clubs recently. I think he (Ince) will get us promoted and then he'll move up to at least the Championship where he belongs. Personally, I think the FA needs to stamp out the poaching of club managers. It's one thing it happening out of season like MA going to you but it's extremely damaging to a club when the manager just jumps ship at any old time during the season. There's a transfer window for players and there should be some sort of similar ruling for managers transfering too.

James. Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 It's really quite staggering that threads like this still get created. Have you lost your f**king minds? A brief moment of thought is all that is required. Seriously.

Unless you turn into one of the biggest clubs in Europe it's going to happen to you for the foreseeable future as well. And as well it should. Managers deserve to go onto better things as much as players who perform at a high level for a consistent period. It's all very well saying you want transfer windows for managers when you're top of your division but what if you'd appointed some numpty and were staring relegation in the face? Wouldn't be such a bright idea then, would it?

No one wants to deny managers or anyone furthering their careers but something's go to be done to prevent managers from leaving at the first whiff of a better offer and leaving a club like yours up the swanny.

Sounds fairly impossible to me and I don't think it's a big problem anyway.
