Monk Posted 31 October 2007 Posted 31 October 2007 Cripes. In another life I could be you. One where I applied myself. Obviously. And was taller. A sharper jacket wouldn't go amiss either. Mate - temping in Banking. Dead easy to get 30K. You come across as pretty switched on I bet you could get a decent temping role.
Fat Ron Posted 31 October 2007 Posted 31 October 2007 Mortgage, Car, Cost of Living, Costs of bringing up a 2 year old.. Im Skint.
James. Posted 31 October 2007 Posted 31 October 2007 I'm sure you're one who can sympathise with me that once you get above 30K you get totally raped on student loan payments. Think mine's £250 a month at the moment or something stupid. Sods. Yeah mine is something like that as well. But at least that comes straight out the pay packet so you kind of don't notice it. It's my other overheads which properly rape me - loan, credit card, etc. I wish I had been sensible at Uni. Or at least not a COMPLETE twat. I didn't really consider the fact I'd have to pay back all that money I spent. Oh well, it was a lot of fun. EDIT: and yeah TPH banking could be for you... temping roles in London pay SHITLOADS. Seriously. 30k minimum I reckon if you get a bit lucky.

Seriously. 30k minimum I reckon if you get a bit lucky. Minimum temp wages in back office roles are now about £12 an hour, 45 hrs a week, 47 weeks a year (27K). You do the math. After 18 months I was on £20 an hour 50hr a week (again, you do the math) and thats not even touching the surface of what you can earn. Since then I got made permanent which makes me marginally worse off.
Rincewind Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Think mine works out at about 14k so if any one of you is on 26k please send me 6k of your money to make things right. Thank you.

danny. Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 I have just paid myself for this month, £439.60 - beat that!
