Manwell Pablo Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Seems a shame if true that we cannot get the best out of a player ranked in the top 20 best young players in the world at the last world cup. It really is hard to believe he can be worse than the utter garbage we have suffered on the right side of midfield for the last 3 seasons. Please show me this supposed list. I do find it fasicnating how a player with 55 caps for a country like Iran can't even perform against Hinckley United for our reserves. But I grow tired of people suggesting he made the team of the World Cup, or was in the world cup top 10 players etc etc. He was once mentioned in World Soccer magazine as one of the worlds brightest talents but that was four years ago and I'm, sure if you ask World Soccer now if they still think he'll be a world beater they might have a slightly different view. Sorry I relise what you've posted isn't as outlandish as some of the things people have said but if your going to make claims like that please show me the list.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 One of my colleagues was at the game last night, and being only an occasional visitor down the City but having played football to a reasonable standard earlier in his life and not having not been party to all the guff that's been talked about Kaebi, I asked him what his unbiased opinion was of the lad playing at left back. He said that he looked about 14 years old, was a midget and didn't even look like a footballer

I hope you didn't tell your pal that last night was one of his better games.

Well, he's perhaps a little on the demanding side when it comes to his expectations of players, but generally speaking I trust his judgement on them. I'm sure the lad has some talent, but he wouldn't be the first overseas player with bags of ability that just couldn't cope with the physical challenge of English football, and the Championship is VERY physical at the moment IMO, even more so than usual
Calum McDermott Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Indeed.Never have I known so many to push for someone to be included in our first team who offered so little evidence of deserving it. U havent gt a clue wt ur on about .. he is a quality playa,, if you watched him in the reserves u wud think he deserves a start.. and also he will b in the team now holloway is here holloway was including in the bristol squad.... nd he likes fast wingers

Martin Allen signed him and he didn't even play him so he can't be as good as you make out. Now write that in proper englishnun of dis silly chavy tlk ye man

For a start I have never judged him as a winger because I've never seem him play as a winger and doubt that he's ever been used as a winger for more than 15 minutes during his entire time at the club. So what you're suggesting is rather like you telling me that McAuley would make a great centre-forward. We could all guess but there'd be very little evidence to put forward. I've not even said that Kaebi lacks quality, quite the contrary. On several occasions I've said that he does have quality as a footballer, particularly his close control, his close passing and his speed and mobility. Unfortunately those abilities haven't added up to his playing well more than once in the six or seven games I've seen him. Indeed the weaknesses he showed at full-back and, briefly in right midfield, were significant ones that would almost certainly be attacked by any half-decent coach. That being the truth why would I think he deserves a chance in the first team.

Jack Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 to correct you .. martin allen brought him on against watford and then he picked up an injury and allen was gone .. by the way is tht better english 4 you? Ok fair enough, I'd like him to play just as much as the next person but he's not played all season, alright i know he's had his injuries. Tomorrow is his big chance if he is fit to play, with Fryatt suspended and John injured i suspect Hume will be playing up front, which will leave right mid open to him.

The truth is he was voted in the top ten most promising players in the world.. and was rated highly by FIFA at the world cup and i think fifa no what there talking about dont you? Also arsenal attempted to sign him aswel but leicester nipped in front, and arsenal have the best young playas coming through in England. Anyway soon he will get a start and everyone will see his quality.

Watch him in the reserves then come on here and give a true reflection of him.

And a friendly tip, don't start getting into arguments with people when you're 15 and new to the forum. Once you get a reputation on here its hard to shake off.

David O'Leary Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 well you clearly have bad literature then if you cant even abreviate or de-abreviate... i can write porperly it jus aves time not to Yes it does save time but on this forum we use proper grammar, go to talkingballs if you want to use that crap, and by the way saves is spelt with an s at the front

Why don't you take some time to study how many players in such lists actually go on to shine in top class football and you will soon see that's it's best to watch and judge people yourself. Arsenal sign lots of brilliant youngsters - we had one called Ryan Smith - and many are like desert cacti. They blossom briefly then disappear into oblivion.

Jack Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 well in that list included cristiano ronaldo and cesc fabregas.. but no they are not shining in top class football Just answer me this question please. If Kaebi is even half as good as either Fabregas or Ronaldo then what is he doing here for a start and if he is as good as you make out he'd be playing regular in the premier league not in our reserves.
Thracian Posted 25 November 2007 Author Posted 25 November 2007 well in that list included cristiano ronaldo and cesc fabregas.. but no they are not shining in top class football I didn't say or suggest that players never worked their way through. I said you should look at the many people who don't and who disappear completely.
