Kaebi heading back east?

From Andy15 on TB quoting Iransportpress:

"Leicester City's unsettled Iranian midfielder, who has barely played a game in his new team, has shown his interest in joining Perspolis. Afshin Ghotbi, is in negotiations with Hossein Kaebi's sporting agent to pave the way for the Iranian wonderkind to join Perspolis in mid-season.

In assistance to Ghotbi's request, Habib Kashani too is in search to find a sponsor for Perspolis, to be able to pay off Kaebi's Leicester City contract cancellation fee.

In the next few days, Hossein Kaebi's agent will head to England to formalize the negotiations."

Well at least we can stop the Kaebi threads on the Forum if he goes

Indeed.

Never have I known so many to push for someone to be included in our first team who offered so little evidence of deserving it.

I'm going to somehow resist countering that ridiculous statement with examples where you have done exactly that, but I doubt others will show the same restraint.

but there is that you tube clip of one good tackle on figo. Surely no more evidence is needed

And so he will be remembered, I'm sure. The little man who once put Figo in his pocket.

It's a shame that we couldn't have made more progress to getting him into the first team, we can debate all day on his apparent readiness but I believe there is little doubt he would have added some much needed excitement to the mind numbingly turgid performances we've had to endure.

What a pity he, his advisers and some fans didn't have the patience to see if he could properly adjust to English football. Everyone is in such a rush these days.

I takt it I'm not the only one who thinks this will come back to haunt us at some point in the futre

Possibly.

I don't think he'll leave until the new boss has had a look at him though.

Yes, let's sack Nigel Worthington after one match.

I didn't have that one in mind.... but it's a good point and one that Thracian will choose to evade in his inimitable style (or moreover, lack thereof in any discernible sense).

Oh and how's it going mr Hullfox? Trust all is well?

It would be an absolute disaster if he goes. Possibly the best player we have, if only he could actually start every first team game. Richard Stearman plays shit every game, an awful player yet starts every match, Kaebi should have been in his place a long time ago. Im sure if he does go he will sign for a Prem club in the future and be a fantastic player. Such a big shame, so much hype and expectation when we signed him and i doubt we will ever see him start a first team game

Ironically, it was reaction to your original comment about Worthington that checked me from saying exactly the same about Kaebi, but after three appearances instead of one.

a) There's no pleasing you. Even if I listen you moan.

b) Doesn't mean I wouldn't have been right on both counts, and about Kelly on the day he started as manager with his idea of total footbaling entertainment.

As for sometone else's comment elsewhere about Kaebi coming back to haunt us, no chance.

If he's not proved himself in English conditions for us there virtually no chance he'll do it for another Championship side or better and there's no chance he'd drop down further in English football. That means he'll go back to playing abroad, as the latest article suggests and as I've mentioned on here at least twice.

Why is the same not true of CoG, Doddsy, Tommy Wright, Conrad Logan etc?

Just out of interest, as I don't see the difference?

Alright to a point Mr HeroDroyd.

Not sure if you've noticed but Ultra seems to have fallen out with me and attacks me at every opportunity. The therapy bills are mounting up just at the wrong time of the year.

The Hullfox juniors could well be going without this Christmas if Dad doesn't come through the onslaught.

How's you?

Alright thanks - sizing up a couple of job offers but genuinely quite confused about what to do.

As regards Ultra, he does seem to have something of an inferiority complex, attacking anyone with more than 50 braincells or less than 2 chins. It's a jealousy thing - take it as a compliment.

Cannot see what any of them have to do with Kaebi.

All four are British players who would be most likely to look for their football in England.

Kaebi is an Iranian and, having struggled to adapt here would, I believe, be most likely to head back to warmer climes to which his football is more suited.

Of the four I would only comment as follows:

a) COG - Never given a proper chance at Leicester but seems to be doing fine at Rotherham, and perhaps better than many expected considering their comments. Chance of success 4.5/10

b) Dodds - Never given a chance at Leicester which is a pity because the better the players he has around him to supply chances the more he'll score. Seems to be at a dead end at Lincoln. Remains top scorer and has mostly had decent match ratings but perhaps made the wrong decision to move in retrospect given the poorish form of our strikers and the injuries we've had. Chance of success now 3/10.

c) Tommy Wright - I've never seen him play.

d) Logan - still learning and it's a long process for goalkeepers. He seems ton have held his place in a mixed season for him. I think he has most of the attributes needed for a decent career if he stays motivated and will probably have benefitted more from going on loan than twiddling his thumbs as permanent deputy to Fulop. Chance of sucess 6/10.

I just don't get any of this Kaebi business.

OK, he comes and we're all very excited about it. He's touted as one of the most promising right backs in the world, got over 50 caps for his country after making his debut at 16 and he's joining us, Leicester City, in the Championship. Great right?

Not it seems. I don't understand, how can a player so promisingly talked about as him only manage to make 15 minutes of first team football for a Championship club?

If he's not fit, why? He's been here long enough to get match fit.

If he's not "language ready" then why?

If he's not good enough then why sign him in the first place? On that note, I don't really buy that he's not good enough. I've only seen him play for the same amount of time as most people but from what we all hear it sounds like he should be more than good enough for this level of football. He can't even budge Richard Stearman out of the team at wing back.

What's going on? :dunno::unsure:
