Game against talking balls?

Recommended Posts

Great idea guys, looking forward to this immensely :thumbup:

We have no chance of beating you as we're shite, but it will certainly be interesting selecting our targets dependant upon your pre match comments. We consider a sending off to be on a par with scoring a 35 yarder ;)

Seriously though, thanks for the challenge guys :clap:

Yeah, let's all go to the Norwich game sweaty.

Fa cup 5th round day, providing we're out of course?

if we get that far in the cup which im actually quite optimistic about this year :thumbup:

the game will be put back to the next weekend home game which would be march 8th VS Bristol City.

Game in the morning, those who care about being sweaty can home and shower the rest of us can go from the venue to the pubs, and celebrate our victory before going onto the Leicester game, and then back to the pubs afterwards to celebrate an other victory/ or drown the sories whichever way it may go.

We'll need a gaffer for this too. Big pride at stake.

After the real match in January, we need to unite.

im young, but i have three year of managerial experiance at kids level, one year experiance of assistant managing at womens level, and half a years experiance of coaching/assistants assistant :thumbup: manager at mens level. thats my application form. :thumbup:

I beleive in flowing attacking football, and am a strong beleiver in keeping it simple with a standard 442 formation that drage the LM/RM out wide down the wings. CB should always be in the box from set peices, and the wing backs should stay back and cover. The offside trap is definatly a must..... against a weekend opposition. i also beleive in playing little and large upfront, so lets see an emile heskey like man to knock it onto a short wie player who can run rings around defenders.

unfortunatly i dont know you all very well, but maybe a meeting before the game, and maybe a mini match can sort this out.

p.s. might be able to do us a deal with kit. that maybe we can use wenever we have matches, if people are willing to pay? i might be able to get us a cheap umbro kit. we after red and white are we?

Suits us, we'll play in our City tops.

We should all get our usernames on our backs so we know who to punch first :thumbup:

I won't be having my username put on my top, simply because I don't want to be any more of a target than I already am. :P

HullFox. End of debate.

Greatttttttt now that you've chosen the gaffer, I've chosen that we're playing in white. Sorted. :thumbup::D

Neither will I, a) because I'm not a saddo (not in that dept anyway) b) I'm too tight, and c) My own team mates will want to kick my head in

Watch out, I'm the danger man.

Not my words, the words of Top Gear Magazine...

Player ratings [from the O21 vs U21 match in June];

Ian Ormonpops 10 - Post-exam boozeup on Friday night and still managed to last the whole night last night including finishing off Benji's pitcher in the Dog while also getting his hat and scarf back off Jess somehow.

Lord Nibblington 7 - Came along to Walkabout with his missus and made it all the way to the casino. Top effort.

The Singh 8 - Getting the party moving when we were sat outside The Hind. Drink up, you bastards!

Hullfox 1 - Buggered off before the pub, but apparently went out last night in Hull for which he gets one token mark.

Sly 1 - Nowhere to be seen. One token mark for taking Manwell's stuff back to Coalville.

Scoweh 8 - A very solid effort indeed, great stamina to last all three pubs but didn't make it to the casino.

Manwell 9 - Would have been a perfect 10 but for buggering off at 4am and missing today's... err... festivities (i.e. me, TPH and Alex lying around for two hours wondering where he'd gone and who was going to get our breakfast)

TPH 9 - Would have been a perfect 10 but for the whole Kavana business. Rolled in at half 3 from the casino.

Durnerz 2 - Nowhere to be seen. Shocking commitment. Although he may have been in the Dog before we got there to be fair.

Fez 8 - Fairly solid effort but was merely a spectator in the casino. Did get the shots in at Walkabout but was with TPH's money so it's swings and roundabouts.

Finnegan 8 - Okay so he had to dash off back to Donington but a massive effort yesterday to come along and run all game then go back to Download. A very commendable day's work.

Tomassi 4 - I think he was in the Dog? I can't remember.

Subs;

Knighton Matt 5 - Some excellent banter as always but an early finisher.
