Venables up in the Royal Box all first half and not communicating with McClaren at all. Steven Gerrard is one of the biggest flops for England in years, yet is made Captain?! Owen injured in a pointless friendly at the weekend leaving McClaren changing the formation against Croatia again. Scott Carson and Wayne Bridge were so far out of their depth it was laughable. Peter Crouch should start for England more often. The way McClaren has treated Beckham is disgusting. Bekcham is one of the only ones who would go out and give 1000% for England no matter what. The FA board should resign for Employing McClaren. The FA academy at Burton should be completed ASAP and put into immediate operation. Maybe many who were so critical about Sven will respect what he did a little more now? The Nationality of the England Coach should be irrelevant. The Press should also take some of the blame for what has happened for pissing Scolari off before he had even take the job and thus leading to McClaren's appointment. The Press have far too much influence and control over the England National team. I'm sick of people going on about England Rugby in comparisson to England football, there are few similarirties and it's pointless. Football is our National game and our passion, every effort from Government and football should be put into creating a successul National side. Croatia are a very good side, and Bilic is a very handy coach. The FA board is populated by back slappers and old farts, and needs to become more open and dynamic. A home Nations tournament next summer would be a great chance for the new Coach to show us what we can do. Mourinho or O'Neill are the only names being banded about that would probably do any better than McClaren. The new Coach should sit all the players down and ask if they can be arsed to play for England, anyone who does not say yes in an instant should be ignored for selection.

Apparently the two disks contained details of 25 million alternative goalkeepers and one about individuals who might possibly support Peter Crouch up front. Details of the 25 million better goalies were held in a spreadsheet listing biometric details such as ‘Ability to see ball’ and ‘Can catch’ and ‘Propensity to concede shocking howlers in the first ten minutes of the game’. Although millions of the individuals listed on the disks were under ten years old (half of which were of course girls), it is thought that these players might still have given the England manager a few more options between the sticks. ‘Little Jessica Harrison celebrated her eighth birthday yesterday – she probably would have stopped the first one’ said Alan Hanson. ‘And what was Sol Campbell doing all game that eighty-seven year old Edna Johnson couldn’t have done if the coach hadn’t lost her address and telephone number?’ Steve McClaren now looks set to lose his job as England manager, and the FA are looking at their list of alternatives.
