Fryatt or No Fryatt that is the question?

According to Wikpedia:

Many football leagues and federations have off-field penalties for players who accumulate a certain number of cautions in a season, tournament or phase of a tournament. Typically these take the form of a suspension from playing in their team's next game after that number of cautions has been reached (two in international tournaments and five in a league season). Such off-field penalties are determined by league rules, and not by the Laws of the Game.

Similarly, a send-off usually also results in additional sanctions, most commonly in the form of suspensions from playing for a number of future games, although financial fines may also be imposed. The exact punishments are determined by tournament or competition rules, and not by the Laws of the Game. FIFA in particular has been adamant that a red card in any football competition must result in the guilty player being suspended for at least the next game without the right to appeal.

The Football Association

However, the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Football_Association" title="The Football Association">English Football Association has somewhat defied FIFA with respect to appeals. As of 2006 in England, if a direct red card is shown the player is dismissed from the field immediately and normally faces a three-match ban, which exceeds the FIFA minimum and applies to both League and Cup competitions. FIFA does not normally require a red-carded player in a domestic league match to sit out the national cup or international competition (such as the UEFA Champions League); his ban is to be served in the next league match.

However, bans can be overturned with a successful appeal for wrongful dismissal. The onus is on the player to prove his case and the ban can be extended if the FA deems the appeal to be frivolous. As such, most clubs will not appeal unless they are certain that they have a good case. Appeals must be made within a day or two of the match, and a decision will always be reached prior to the club's next scheduled match. In the case of a red card that was shown after two yellow cards, the player is dismissed and receives a one-match ban without the right to appeal, excluding mistaken identity.

The FA's appeals policy is generally seen as quite restrictive and only a small percentage of red cards are ever overturned. However, it should be noted that until the current policy was enacted during the early 2000s, the FA's disciplinary policy was somewhat more lenient, and three-match bans sometimes did not take effect until as late as two weeks after the red card was issued. Nonetheless, successful red card appeals have become a constant source of friction between the FA and FIFA. FIFA President Sepp Blatter has occasionally mooted suspending the FA from FIFA and barring England from international tournaments for its continued defiance of FIFA directives, but as of 2006 had taken no further action.

The use of video replay has also been a point of contention with regards to its actual or potential use for both red card appeals and retroactive yellow or red cards for diving. Trials for this technology (Hawk-Eye) commenced in England in 2007, and the Football Association has declared the system as "ready for inspection by FIFA".[1]

Considering it, yes.

Surely if they do appeal, it will be before tomorrow.

Sappleton is not ready for the first team yet. And as for Kaebi, he looks a little lost at times in the reserves as well apparently.

He'll probably go with the same team. Maybe draft Shaun Newton into the squad and then Ian Hume and whoever up front. Cort, Dudley, John they can't all be injured can they?

Newton being drafted into the squad is a good shout and it's highly likely that's what will happen - well, more likely than Kaebi playing any part anyway.

This is what it says on the BBC Sport website:

Leicester v Cardiff

Leicester boss Ian Holloway faces a striker crisis as he takes charge of his first home game with Collins John and Carl Cort struggling with injuries.

Matty Fryatt also looks set to miss out depending on appeal after his red card on Saturday.

No mention of DJ being injured so it looks as though it could be Hume and the Deej up top, then either Newton playing out wide or Stears going wide with Kenton playing right-back.

Hmmm BBC team news not renound for being accurate though.

Hopefully Dudley is fit enough to partner Hume up front. I didn't go to Bristol yesterday but I understand Kenton put in another almost immaculate display so he might be in for a shout to start the game. And Stearman as RM.

Kenton McAuley Kisnorbo Mattock

Stearman Wesolowski Clemence Sheehan

Campbell Hume

Subs; Henderson, N'Gotty, King, Hayes, McKay

If Campbell is out I'd be tempted to throw McKay in, with Sappleton coming onto the bench. If Kaebi is fit, perhaps him on the bench somewhere.
