Thracian Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Fulop Kenton McAuley Kisnorbo MattockStearman Wesolowski Clemence SheehanCampbell HumeSubs; Henderson, N'Gotty, King, Hayes, McKay If Campbell is out I'd be tempted to throw McKay in, with Sappleton coming onto the bench. If Kaebi is fit, perhaps him on the bench somewhere. McKay's injured too!
Nath Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 McKay's injured too! Thrac, you read the post above about kee on bench? I was expecting a big analysis of the player from you.

Thracian Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Thrac, you read the post above about kee on bench? I was expecting a big analysis of the player from you. I've still not seen enough of Kee in different situations. But from what I have seen he's not ready for the first team yet, any more than Sappleton. There's no question he's a threat to any team with his shotting ability but I just don't see him as sharp enough to win enough ball in the first team yet. I also think he would struggle to cope with the pace of the game generally, as you'd expect for a lad who's still only made a few reserves appearances. Sappleton's the same in many ways but would probably lead the line better in an emergency if he wasn't asked to do too much in other departments. I've given my own preference in another post but it is not an easy choice by any means. Assuming Fryatt's out and only Hume available as a front line striker I'd go Sappleton/King and Saturday's starting midfield or perhaps Sappleton/Hume with Odhiambo on the right.
Nath Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 That's better I thought Kee was bagging goals week in week out? Or is that McKay?

Jack Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 That's better I thought Kee was bagging goals week in week out? Or is that McKay? It's Kee, he's been scoring daft amounts in the reserves
Foxhateram Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 It's Kee, he's been scoring daft amounts in the reserves Same formation please!!! Same team that played after John went off, unless fryatt cant play then i would draft in newton to RM and put Hume upfront. We need some stability and regularity in this team, and we need to find the winning formula and stick with it. far to much changing around latly. Come on you mighty Blues Ollie's going to take us to the top!!!
TheBlinding Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 It's Kee, he's been scoring daft amounts in the reserves Under 18s. He's been in the reserve team a few times but I don't think he's scored yet? Thracian will correct me if i'm wrong.

WetFlannel Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 surely chambers at right back (if hes fit thats it)
The Reverend Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Fulop Kenton Kissa Big Mac Mattock Stearz Clem Weso Sheehan DJ Hume I dont see any reason why the DJ/Hume partnership cant work IF the ball is kept on the deck. Apart from that, tis the same team as Brizzle.
Bryn Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 McKay's injured too! Bollocks! Chambers or Odhiambo then perhaps.
Simon Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 It's difficult to tell who'll feature tomorrow. If the Deej is injured then I reckon we'll see Sappletiser ot Odhiambo, not sure which. Wasn't overly enamored with Odhiambo when I saw him play for Southend but I could be convinced. I'd be tempted (if Chambers and the Deej are still injured) to have a bash with this: Fulop Kenton Kisnorbo N'Gotty Mattock Kaebi Weso Clem Sheehan Hume The Sappletiser Bench: Hendo, Hayes, Stearman, Odhiambo, King
Mark Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 It's difficult to tell who'll feature tomorrow. If the Deej is injured then I reckon we'll see Sappletiser ot Odhiambo If anyone deserves a chance from the reserves it's Chambers, Sappleton is garbage.
Bert Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Collins John might be fit yet. How many times has he bottled been injured then played the next game? At least three.
Simon Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 If anyone deserves a chance from the reserves it's Chambers, Sappleton is garbage. I'll bow to your knowledge- have seen Sappleton play this season (I personally think he's not garbage) and Odhiambo but not Ashley Chambers. To be honest, it depends what Ollie wants to go for in the way he plays.
Mark Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Nah don't bow to that I haven't seen him play much he's just not impressed me at all, all I can remember is him playing a couple of nice through balls to set others up now and then.

Ollie_09 Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 We ahve no strikers to play tonight who's going to play? hume, cort,dj,de vries, john are all out only leaves with sapleton and hammond? who do you think he'll play?
ibbosuk Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 McKay's injured too! Holloway will stick as close as he can to the team that won at Bristol City. That is the only way to reward good performances, he knows that, there won't be anything other than enforced changes >> YOU "PLAY"= YOU STAY<<
Guest ttfn Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 All this talk of Sappleton starting is ridiculous. There is no way that Holloway is going to give a start to a player who's not played any 1st team football this season and didn't even make the bench at Bristol City at the weekend. Holloway will, in all probability, play Hume up top on his own and possibly have 2 of Odihambo, Sappleton, Elvis and Ashley Chambers on the bench.

But it's Sappleton. He instantly commands a place in the starting eleven.

Playing with just one striker in your first home game, which happens to be a near sell-out, with the expectation upped after saturday, would be suicide for Holloway even if it meant throwing in an inexperienced kid.
