MC Prussian Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 GameSpot News I'd be more careful where it says "tested by Greenpeace". It should probably read "tested by Greenpeace, yet sponsored by Sony".
Staf Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Im not sure if i should get a nintendo wii for christmas
Phube Posted 27 November 2007 Author Posted 27 November 2007 Im not sure if i should get a nintendo wii for christmas YOu should... but if you ain't asked now... you won't get!! Far too popular!!
DB11 Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 YOu should... but if you ain't asked now... you won't get!! Far too popular!! My brother has a Wii but I think they are rubbish. The only good game is Tennis on the Wii Sports but that gets boring after a while!
Simi Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 YOu should... but if you ain't asked now... you won't get!! Far too popular!! You don't mean under manufactured then?
Staf Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 You don't mean under manufactured then? My business teacher was telling me there more popular than PS3 and Xbox 360 this year
Joe. Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 My business teacher was telling me there more popular than PS3 and Xbox 360 this year They are. You can't get one from anywhere for a reasonable price, everywhere's sold out. The appeal of a console that's different to the others is it's selling point.
Alexikokopops Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 They are.You can't get one from anywhere for a reasonable price, everywhere's sold out. Evidentally their OR department is sadly lacking, maybe I should get involved...
Phube Posted 27 November 2007 Author Posted 27 November 2007 Read it and weep!!! Look at the gradients...
Joe. Yeah you're right. Nintendo have ballsed up. They could have sold millions more if they'd been sensible enough to prepare for the Christmas rush.
Simi Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Yeah you're right.Nintendo have ballsed up. They could have sold millions more if they'd been sensible enough to prepare for the Christmas rush. What an amateur mistake to make. Going to cost them big time.
Joe. Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 What an amateur mistake to make. Going to cost them big time. Exactly. Isn't it obvious to them that Christmas is going to be peak selling time for them?!
Phube Posted 27 November 2007 Author Posted 27 November 2007 Yeah you're right.Nintendo have ballsed up. They could have sold millions more if they'd been sensible enough to prepare for the Christmas rush. They have been selling ALL they can make for a WHOLE year!!!
Simi Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 They have been selling ALL they can make for a WHOLE year!!! They've sold like 1 million more than the 360? You telling me that they can't cope with Christmas?
Alexikokopops Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Read it and weep!!!Look at the gradients... Still, Nintendo have ballsed up big time by running out of stocks this early on.
Alexikokopops Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 They have been selling ALL they can make for a WHOLE year!!! Seriously, it seems a decent OR department would've realised that investing in increasing their production limits earlier in the year (when they were still struggling to meet demand) would've paid off big time when it came to the Christmas rush. As it happens they're loosing out in thousands of pounds worth of revenue by running out of stock so early on.
Staf Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Exactly.Isn't it obvious to them that Christmas is going to be peak selling time for them?! They probably didnt think they would sell this well
Phube Posted 27 November 2007 Author Posted 27 November 2007 They've sold like 1 million more than the 360? You telling me that they can't cope with Christmas? In ONE year.... 360 took two to get there!! They probably didnt think they would sell this well That is very true...
Alexikokopops Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Phube's slyly ignoring my comments. Operational Research is one of my few areas of expertise, argue with me
Phube Posted 27 November 2007 Author Posted 27 November 2007 Phube's slyly ignoring my comments.Operational Research is one of my few areas of expertise, argue with me I think Alex-ikokopops is talking crap! He has no idea what goes on at Nintendo HQ. They CAN'T make any more!!! They make a profit on every Wii sold... they would make as many as they could to maximise their profit...
