Simon Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 We have to lose the fact that we might potentially bring in another striker who cannot score in this league. We need someone who has a proven record in this league. Goals are the only thing that is going to get us out of the shit we are in. Experimenting when we are only 4 points away from relegation is not intelligent! 75437 Did he not come from a La Liga side after playing for a number of Spanish second division sides to try and play in England? What makes Spanish second division much different from the Championship?
SilverFox Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 I'm not bad mouthing the guy. I'm just saying that when you are only 4 points from the relegation zone you don't want to be taking risks on unproven players...we need someone who either plays in the prem or is proven in this league.

Ric Flair Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 I think this is the chap that Reyes or Aterta is best mates with. One of them played in the same youth teams as him and say he's quality, just not had the right breaks. As SF says it's risky business and we need someone who can almost guarantee us goals, quick. Perhaps a short term fix is needed for now, Levein is doing the right thing with long term signings which Mickeh never did but we do need goals asap. Dougie Freedman anyone?

If we don't get one we are going to be in serious trouble.

Xabi Alonso and Arteta were actually born in the same street.

Steven Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 Dougie Freedman anyone? 75483 Hasn't he been playing a lot recently.
shen Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 I don't see why Ugarte would be such a big risk. 15 goals in 9 games in a tough league, albeit lower quality, tells it's own story. I seem to remember one of the most dangerous attackers in the Prem setting a league record of scoring 12 games running down at Bournemouth, was it?... As for Prem targets: Clinton Morrison (unlikely), Lisbie or Michael Chopra (oooh)
Ian Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 what about Blake fom Brum? Cant break into the side and not thought of very highly by the Brum fans. Maybe we could get him on loan untill the end of the season, proven goal scorer at this level and would thrive onthe service we are giving tothe front men at the mo. I would play Dublin and devries up front tommorrow and just keep pinging the ball into the box they might both be slow but well get one eventually!!!

Burnley will sit back as always and it might take some nasty football to sort them out. Isn't Dublin injured? I'd got 4-5-1 and give Hughes and Williams licence to roam. Or even throw Dodds in there (perhaps that's why i'm not the manager)
