Steven Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 The Aldershot Mad site has us fielding the following team v Chelsea tonight 7pm. It will be live on Chelsea TV. Our own Chambo (according to the Aldershot site) is starting though our own OS has no information of course. Leicester: Peter Akman, Liam Norvall, Tyson Payne, James Wesolowski, Scott Lycett, Alan Sheehan, Ashley Chambers, Adam Wykes, Chris O'Grady, Louis Dodds, Levi Porter. Subs: Lawrence Hunter, Conrad Logan, Billy McKay, Matthew Goodwin. Don't expect any of these to be playing against Burnley. <_<
Mark Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 Bloody hell Chambo! I can't believe that. Looks as though he's in midfield though with O'Grady and Dodds up front.
dan_84 Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 Leicester:Peter Akman, Liam Norvall, Tyson Payne, James Wesolowski, Scott Lycett, Alan Sheehan, Ashley Chambers, Adam Wykes, Chris O'Grady, Louis Dodds, Levi Porter. Subs: Lawrence Hunter, Conrad Logan, Billy McKay, Matthew Goodwin. Who is Peter Akman? Where is Canero? Where is Gemmil? Wher is Makin? Where is that new keeper we signed from Gillingham? Surely if these players are ever called upon, we need them to be match fit and have their match sharpness. Im not saying dont play the youngsters, but they have their academy games to gain their sharpness and fitness. How can these senior players be gaining a thing with not playing first team or reserves?

Steven Posted 7 March 2005 Author Posted 7 March 2005 We lost 1 - 0. <_< Young Foxes Fall To ChelseaLeicester City's reserve side went down 1-0 at the hands of Chelsea on Monday evening. City again fielded a youthful line up - with no player in the starting line up over the age of 19. And the young charges came away from the game disappointed after seeing no return for their gutsy performance. Chelsea grabbed the only goal of the game in first half stoppage time to take all three points at the Recreation Ground, Aldershot. Speaking after the game, coach Peter Houston (pictured) said: "I cannot fault the players for their effort. Most of them played in the 5-0 Academy win over Aston Villa on Saturday so it was a lot to ask of them. "The Chelsea coach spoke to me after the game and admitted we deserved to get something out of the game. It just wasn't our night. "But some of our players were just 15 years old and they will gain a heck of a lot of experience from playing in games like this." City: Peter Akman, Liam Norvall, Tyson Payne (Matthew Goodwin 50), James Wesolowski, Scott Lycett, Alan Sheehan (Lawrence Hunter 74), Ashley Chambers (Billy McKay 60), Adam Wykes, Chris O'Grady, Louis Dodds, Levi Porter. Subs not used:, Conrad Logan. Lenny Pidgeley, Dean Smith, Steven Watt, Adrian Pettigrew, Sam Tillen, Nuno Morais, Anthony Grant, Danny Hollands (capt), Filipe Oliveira, Sebastian Kneissl, Danny Woodards. Subs: James Russell (gk), Joe Tillen, Michael Mancienne, Dean Furman, Filipe Morais. Chambo subbed after an hour.

You gotta remember he has only just turned 15, well done Chambo
Jonbluefox9 Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 Well done Chambo. Another step on the ladder tonight. All this experience you're gaining's going to help you no-end. Do you have much to do with Kenny Black and Peter Houston at the training ground? Kenny Black is a top bloke, really funny but I don't think I'd want to meet either of 'em if they were angry. Houston sounded happy tonight though. Anyway, well done.
Scow Posted 7 March 2005 Posted 7 March 2005 Brilliant stuff Chambo. Keep up the good work matey.
Guest Daniel Posted 8 March 2005 Posted 8 March 2005 Well played Chambo, brilliant stuff mate. Your a lucky lad, keep working at it.
Guest Daniel Posted 8 March 2005 Posted 8 March 2005 http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=...sub=latest+news It took Steven Watt to be in the right place at the right moment to stoop and head a dangerous ball away from Dodds and then after two failed attempts to clear the resulting corner, Ashley Chambers flashed his volley well off-target. In a Leicester team of mostly youth team-aged players, Chambers was by some way the most junior at just 14! Brilliant! Well done lad.
Ric Flair Posted 8 March 2005 Posted 8 March 2005 You've got to be some talent to play reserve football at 15 in my opinion. Not getting over excited but considering Chambo has gone from Under 16 to Under 18 to reserve level in under 6 months is quality. Reminds me very much like Stearman did last season. Give him another year in the ressies then unleash him in to the first team. Who let the Chambo out? Who, Who, Who, Who?
breadandcheese Posted 8 March 2005 Posted 8 March 2005 I hope you didn't play too well last night Chambo. Bearing in mind Chelsea signed a 9 year old the other day.... Having said that, you're probably a bit old for Chelsea
chambo_9 Posted 8 March 2005 Posted 8 March 2005 Thxs guys for giving me so much support. I was when I saw the little program things they had and I was in the starting line up. I played right midfield for an hour so I am more than happy with that , but still a long way to go yet, but i'll keep pluging away!

Good luck.
