Super Arj Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 i was looking at championship stats in the paper today, only to find that leicester have only scored 21 goals this season( thats the worst, joint with Norwich) What im saying is, every home match i watch ( season ticket ) Leicester seem to be doing quiet well, making chances and getting very close Hume and Fryatt( also John, DJ n the rest ) seem to be working so well with each other.. so how did it come to this?? if anyone seems to know post
WetFlannel Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Our strikers are pretty good but we lack creativity in midfield...
Asha Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Our strikers are pretty good but we lack creativity in midfield... I'd have to agree with that. Although our strikers should still have scored more.
STUHILL Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Olli puts it best, all we need our wingers and someone who can score goals! It's that simple! Hope we can find some in transfer! Although our defence isn't looking solid of late! New 11 would do me!
Kilworthfox Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Yes our attacking but "some" of our forwards are not too bad service however is very patchy
Simi Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Is our attacking that bad, joint worst!!! Well, it obviously is?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Our strikers are pretty good but we lack creativity in midfield... Aye I'd have to agree with that. Although our strikers should still have scored more. Yep, but hopefully Hume has got his confidence back and can keep his run going. What is it, 4 goals in 5 now? We still need at least one out and out striker though.

We still need at least one out and out striker though. Even if Hume gets 20, look at other clubs. Ipswich even, Walters, Lee and Counago have all got over 10 each and very similar goal records. That's why they're as far up as they are. That's what we need.

Jay Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 we have no attack it's that simple we have no wide players who can stretch teams and create space for others and we have no attacking midfielder to drive the team forward. the only times out strikers get the ball is with their back to goal surrounded by about 3 defenders as our attacking players can't create any space it's no wonder we have only scored about 2 goals from open play this year

Most games I watch us play (home or away) we generally don't create many clear-cut chances. The obvious lack of quality in midfield doesn't help, especially when we're the home side and we have to take the game to the opposition. Our home record over the past 3/4 years shows that.
