We should have signed Capaldi ages ago.

Never understood why we signed Peter Sodding Gilbert from them instead.

I swear that Capaldi is the player Levein thought he had signed and was so excited about why get excited about a player and ship him out 2months later!!

he messed up and signed the wrong player just didn't want to admit it!!

Stop trying to understand him, mate.

You know an infinite amount more about football than Thracian does.

He's obviously hankering for an argument and reading in insinuations which aren't made. I wonder if we leave him long enough if he'll start arguing with himself.... or god forbid, his staunch ally in spin, Ultra.

Do you honestly think Fez is incapable of breathing without your backing? I'd doubt you've ever once disagreed with a word your pal has said?

This isn't directed solely at you Thracian...but can you all shut up or take it to PM's? :dunno:

I don't disagree with him because he has sensible opinions.

And as Daggers says - if you want to continue this - PM me.

Here we go, the spin doctoring again. Why must you always try to read things that aren't there? I said they're both poor but that Mattock has more potential. I actually voted for Sheehan in that poll you refer to because, as I said, Mattock has struggled recently. But the vast majority of people only wanted him in for his free kicks and corners, something we have been equally good at for the last couple of games without him. I also said "if" regarding Clemence's free kicks. The same applies to Hume's direct free kicks after his goal at Wolves.

If If If If If If If they continue to do these sort of things, we can bring in a left-back who is quicker than Sheehan, who is not as raw as Mattock, who actually closes down when wingers want to cross the ball and who can provide quick and effective support to the attack.

And if we can't find someone who can do all of that then we shouldn't sign them.

For someone who is always on about improving things I don't know why you wouldn't be open to bringing in a better player in any position.

I am all for improving any position but after recent experiences as a Leicester fan I'm extremely wary of yet more supposedly brilliant signings arriving that the supporters blindly want including in the team yet who are nowhere near first team standards, nowhere near as good as what we've got and only cause disharmony and overcrowding in the club.

Even Clive Clarke was acclaimed as this, that and the other having played five minutes of football for us and ONLY demonstrating that he was okay as a defender.

Nils was so good no-one else ever got a chance, yet we're on target for far more clean sheets and far more goals relating from our left-backs this season than ever we got when he was here

The long list of signings that were supposed to improve our team over the last 12 months- and didn't - has been embarrassing. Little wonder I'm cautious and little wonder I'm not very keen on potentially good left-backs being side-tracked for some other experiment.

I don't want to negate a decent performace from the gangly-one, but his performance was not the God-like one people are wanting to portray. He has to find a consistant maturity and confidence in his play on a regular basis before he can start indulging himself.

I think him being encouraged to "indulge himself", as you put it, is what's led to two good performances from him. His confidence suddenly looks sky high and if he's gonna try things, all the best to him.

That overhead kick wasn't irresponsible in particular. Him and Chambers had almost lost it and if he'd controlled it he probably would have had the ball taken off him.
