Simi Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 What? The odd chant that can be heard by the Kop? Outsinging away fans that don't sing? Joking boys. Keep standing and singing.
simtacular Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 yep, same again, the ipswich match was the first match i'd been to in 3 months after being a season ticket holder for 5 years. Still has the best atmosphere it seems.

Simi Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 'cos the kop rocks the whole joint don't it? Well I've not said that, I probably wont either. I don't big up the Kop. L1 could do a lot better than last week.

Kilworthfox Posted 29 December 2007 Author Posted 29 December 2007 What? Exactly what i was thinking about your "east stand"! What?
lildave3 Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Exactly what i was thinking about your "east stand"!What? I was merely stating that L1 was the east stand.

Webbo Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 N Block is the place to be. If you don't like crowds.

foss1884 Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 L1? Pah. What on earth is your problem!? I thought the singing from L1 was great today and it made the game more enjoyable to me. We supported the team and atleast the Charlton fans could hear us, regardless of whether you could. Stop deriding the efforts of supporters who actually want to sing and support the side. I find it so insulting.

foss1884 Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 The Charlton fans were rubbish and made very little noise. In fact, i was disappointed with the number of fans they brought too, considering their away form. Very muted goal celebrations too by them.
foss1884 Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Quite frankly I find the attitude of some people in L1 just as insulting. I sat in The Kop last year and then moved to N Block when it was founded after having attended the meeting to set it up. I then resorted to L1 after N Block was shelved by the club and i really enjoy the atmosphere. What i find irritating is fans slating L1 when i see little vocal response from so-called ardent supporters in other areas of the stadium. I was impressed by the noise today and what i do not appreciate is goading from other fans about the vocal support from L1.
