I actually know a Leeds fan who used to blast De Vries and call him all the names under the sun until he actually witnessed him play and had to eat humble pie becuase he was impressed with him. He comes in for flack becuase he won't jump for a big guy. I've said for three years if we played the ball on the floor to him he'd do a job. He may look big and clumsy but he's got a tidy touch and he'll grab you 5-10 goals in a season, maybe more given the chance. Age isn't on his side but he worked hard to lose weight and I thought he deserved a chance at this club. I was quite knarked off when we packed him off to Leeds.

I think given he games he could have come good, he worked hard and was a much improved player. He wouldn't have been as bad as Cort when he was in the team.
