Lovejoy Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 "More Monza than Monaco" say the F1 website :laugh:I did post a video of the track a while back in this thread. Found it from your original post Cheers for that lads, just made a completely stupid post . The circuit looks ok actually, though still reckon (from looking at that video) that there will be a fair few crashes.
Brainy Posted 21 August 2008 Author Posted 21 August 2008 I'll probably be watching the 2nd practice session (live from the ITV website) - will be an interesting watch. Singapore really is the one im counting down too
Brainy Posted 21 August 2008 Author Posted 21 August 2008 Singapore virtual lap or if that is too fast for you.. I was pissing myself listening to that music for the first minute or so. Who on earth chose that music
Asha Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 Singapore virtual lapor if that is too fast for you.. I was pissing myself listening to that music for the first minute or so. Who on earth chose that music   Quite a long circuit isn't it. Some of those corners look very tight, hopefully a few overtaking opportunities though.
isaidno Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 The first practice is on now, lots od drivers running wide trying to figure out the track.
isaidno Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Vettel , Massa, Hamilton, Bourdais the top 4. The track looks pretty good, more Montreal than Monaco.
Brainy Posted 22 August 2008 Author Posted 22 August 2008 Not surprised to see Vettel up there. They always go well in practice and Q1 and then fall in Q2.
isaidno Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 2nd practice on now http://www.itv-f1.com/VideoLive.aspx
isaidno Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Raikkonen,Alonso, Button top 3. I love sector 3, a flat out, spectacular run to the final corner.
Uncle Albert Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Vettel , Massa, Hamilton, Bourdais the top 4. The track looks pretty good, more Montreal than Monaco. That straight looks very good. Thats where Mclaren will win this race. Looks to be a very good track.
isaidno Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 This is gonna be an interesting race, expect lots of safety cars
Lovejoy Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 Ferrari's race is starting to fall apart. Massa facing a penalty which would cost him the win and now Raikkonen runs over a mechanic and takes the fuel rig with him.
Father Ted Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 It looks as if it was Raikonnen's fault aswell!
Asha Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 Is Massa keeping the win or will he be docked because of the 2nd pit stop?
Floating Fox Posted 25 August 2008 Posted 25 August 2008 Boring race to be fair. No-where to overtake = YAWN.
Lovejoy Posted 25 August 2008 Posted 25 August 2008 Will Valencia be another Monaco, where there will be fook all overtaking opportunities ? Waste of a GP imo.
isaidno Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 This was the race that promised lots and delivered nothing. Poor race, no overtaking. Looked more like a building site than an f1 track with the cranes everywhere. Also emphasises my point that Raikkonen is an arrogant tosser !

Boring as hell and the bloody adverts every 10 laps didn't help
Asha Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 Bit of a crap race yeah, I guess they just tried too hard to make it special like Monaco/Monza and it backfired. Prefer Nurburgring for a European GP.
isaidno Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 The Ferrari mechanic that got ran over has a fractured bone in his foot. Ferrari were fined £7500 for the Massa pit stop
Brainy Posted 26 August 2008 Author Posted 26 August 2008 Shocking race! Boring as hell and the bloody adverts every 10 laps didn't help I thought there were less adverts in that race than usual.
isaidno Posted 29 August 2008 Posted 29 August 2008 I submitted my application form for the Australian Gp yesterday, so I should be in Melbourne next march
