Tommy G Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Just a "no" in frustration for every time I've heard League One mentioned this season. I'd like to thank FoxesTalk for allowing me to get that off my chest. Im afraid mike, league 1 is realistic?

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Im afraid mike, league 1 is realistic? I'd say it was more realistic last season, and even more realistic the season before that. Fill the problem positions we've got, and I think we'll string a few wins and draws together, whether we attain safety by March, or at the Brittainia Stadium, I can't see it happening. Need a bit less overreaction and pessimism around the place.
Dames Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 We're not going down, stop worrying. Its just gunna be another season of mediocrity.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 We're not going down, stop worrying. Its just gunna be another season of mediocrity. What evidence have you got to back that statement up, that we are not going down?
WetFlannel Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 What evidence have you got to back that statement up, that we are not going down? Were not in the relegation zone at the moment and have more money spend than the other lower teams
Dames Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 What evidence have you got to back that statement up, that we are not going down? Still outside the relegation zone. We're only going through a bad patch thats all. People need to stop over reacting and wait see what happens. Hopefully we don't sign anymore strikers though.
Bluemoon Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 What evidence have you got to back that statement up, that we are not going down? Perhaps he's a time traveller.....ask him if he's got two hearts
Dames Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Perhaps he's a time traveller.....ask him if he's got two hearts Nah but i can recommend you to someone who can.
Bluemoon Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Were not in the relegation zone at the moment and have more money spend than the other lower teams With all due respect, money gets teams promoted......it dosen't stop relegation.
Bluemoon Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Nah but i can recommend you to someone who can. spooky.....I was going to think about them tomorrow.......sign 'em up Ollie
Ultra Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 We're in freefall. The manager appears unable to motivate the players. At the moment. NO area of the side is up to Championship standard. So I fear the answer has to be yes.
reynard Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Personally I would say that it is a 50/50 chance at the moment. There is a long way to go yet but for me the next 4 games are critical. we have to take at least 8 points from them. I've followed city for near on 40 years and though there have been teams with individually worse players there is no doubt that this season's lot are the worst team and that is worrying. basically, we can't score because we don't first up create enough chances and secondly we don't have any decent strikers. Now we can't appear to defend and are leaking goals. We have no communication on the field. We do not seem motivated. At the moment I am not convinced by Holloway who appears clueless who to play where. yet he has to be given a chance. To have a chance of staying up we need to sort out the spine of the team ie keeper, centre half. central midfielder centre forward. to date only one of those has been potentially sorted and that with a striker very low on confidence with only 1 goal to his name this season. If the worst happens then I think we could be in for more than 1 season down there and it is not impossible to sink further. I for one can remember wolves in 92nd place in the football league and Carlisle were once top of the old 1st division but fell to div4 and have never returned to the top league.

Big Ol' Bob Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 We Could quite easily go down.. Its happended to the likes of Millwall, Bradford, Luton, Leeds, Forest-scum and Crewe who have all been in the championship not too long ago. Whats so special about us? But then again, we might not, Im not mystic meg, who knows....
davieG Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Still outside the relegation zone. We're only going through a bad patch thats all. People need to stop over reacting and wait see what happens. Hopefully we don't sign anymore strikers though. Yes a 4 year bad patch
davieG Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 It makes me smile how the people that bring out 'we haven't got a divine right to be in the play-offs, get promoted, be in the Premier League, be in Europe' are the same people that say we wont get relegated. We haven't got a divine right to be in the Championship either!!!! Phew! I've used divine right, glad i've got that one out of the way
shrood Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Two geezers infront of me at the Ipswich game were having a lengthy discussion about whether they thought ticket prices would go down if we got relegated. We were winning 2-0 at this point, miserable **** bastards
filbertway Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 We're in freefall. The manager appears unable to motivate the players. At the moment. NO area of the side is up to Championship standard. So I fear the answer has to be yes. Obviously, because things never change do they. I mean we'll fall out the football league completely, Holloways had plenty of time this Transfer window to completely revamp the team and he's done nothing to change us. We're doomed. There's absolutely no chance of our fortunes changing or us even picking up another point this season, even the teams below us are better than us, we're shocking. Can anyone truely see us picking up points again this season? Tranmere on a friday night. We're crap.
WetFlannel Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 At least we can look forward to some new players, rather than the rest of the lower placed teams... If Ollie uses it wisely, like he has done in the past, I think we will be allright
Eastern Fox Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Two geezers infront of me at the Ipswich game were having a lengthy discussion about whether they thought ticket prices would go down if we got relegated. We were winning 2-0 at this point, miserable **** bastards Wow unbelievable...those are the same kind of fans that boo the team off every time me lose I guess.
Dr_Fox Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Any fan who is not considering the possibility of relegation is seriously deluding themselves This is the worst performing side we've had for the last few years and it's clear from Holloway's interviews that he's not interested in trying to get these players to perform he's just going to sign a load of new players in the window and our only hope is that he can sign players that can imrpove the squad and get these new players performing quick sharp because otherwise we will be relegated If I was putting money on an outcome at this moment in time I would be putting my money on us being relegated as right now it seems the most likely scenario
