Bert Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Link Quite surprised at this, as i think he's a class striker, if he does leave, it'll be Tottenham's loss more than anything.

It's a shame he hasn't been given a chance but with Keane and Berbatov both scoring goals Defoe is becoming surplus to requirements. They might be in a bit of a pickle if Berbatov decides to leave though. Defoe obviously likes the club so shouldn't be pushed out because he is a class striker.
Raj Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Seen his Silver Merc parked outside Tim Davies house last night. FACT!
lildave3 Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 He says he doesn't want to leave, but surely for the sake of his career he has to imo. He's barely getting played at Spurs, which is severely hindering his England chances.
Simi Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Ramos must be certain that he's not going to have to sell Berbatov then! If he isn't this will prove to be a stupid mistake.

I can't see Berbatov leaving tbh. As good a player as he can be, I don't think he's what the big 4 are looking for. So unless a club like Barca come in, which I doubt, I think he'll stay.
The People's Hero Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 They will sign Villa to replace Berbatov. Ramos is sweet on Villa and very cool on Defoe. Defoe and Berbatov out. Villa in. Spurs quids in. That said I don't fancy Villa to do that well here. Not that I care. I hate Spurs. Also, Defoe is well overrated.
Joe. Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 He's got to go for his own sake. With a mid to higher table team and getting regular first team football Defoe could get 15+ goals a season comfortably I reckon. Villa would be a good destination for him.
The People's Hero Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Man City surely? Sven likes him + has money to burn + likes buying mediocre overrated strikers.
lildave3 Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Man City surely?Sven likes him + has money to burn + likes buying mediocre overrated strikers. Thing is, City play one up top, and he can't play as a lone striker. Madness.
Staf Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Big mistake. He scores almost every time he comes on as a sub i really dont why they are selling him i think he will go Man Utd
Joe. Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Big mistake. He scores almost every time he comes on as a sub i really dont why they are selling him i think he will go Man Utd If he's not good enough for Tottenham then I doubt Man Utd will be calling anytime soon. As for big mistake- it's not as if they're short of good options. Bent, Keane and Berbatov are all more than capable.

Darkzzz_ Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Can we have Defoe please!! I was hoping that we can feed Defoe the "one team, one dream" bullshit!!
