Simi Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Leicester City, in conjunction with Leicester Sound, have today launched their new 'Kids for Three' promotion.To coincide with the Half-Term break next month, the home games against Ollie's former club Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, February 9 (5.20pm) and Norwich City the following weekend (Saturday, February 16, 3pm), will be available for all Young and Junior Members for just £3 for either of the matches. To help make both games a real family affair, any accompanying adults can also snap up tickets for only £14 per game. In addition... The Foxes have been nominated for both the Perform Best Fan Marketing Campaign and Championship Family Club of the Year awards.Stewart Thomson, Commercial Director of The Football League said: "The Football League Awards incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Players aim to reward outstanding achievements both on and off the football pitch. SimonI have read your e mail with interest and have made a few short comments. 1. There are lots of opinions and it is a case of not pleasing everyone. 2. Thracian Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 When I read that thread title I was sure it was the work of Thracian. I've got so I hate to be near families at football matches. They are so sensitive. My youngest was introduced to games on the basis that football grounds were places that people let off steam, swore, cursed and got emotional. It didn't turn him into an effer and blinder any more than being in a boxing club turned him into a thug. But if he'd not been able to handle it I wouldn't have taken him. Same as I wouldn't have enrolled him in boxing if he couldn't stand being whacked once in a while. Kids need to cope with a lot of things as they get older and a bit of disrespectful chanting is probably one of the least of them.
