Ian Holloway Q&A Evening

It's well known that Mandaric has a close relationship with Grant so that can only help things in the deal for Sinclair. Maybe a player put forward by Mandaric, but then again Ollie has already had him once.

Some interesting stuff i cant believe that Douglas is on 25k a week a little dissapointed about what happened with mattock but at least the problem has been resolved as for transfers i really hope we get Scott Sinclair soon :(

If Douglas is on 25K a week, then I'm the Prince of fecking Persia.

Thought you'd been released and couldn't speak English?

Did I get that right? Holloway said that Lee Martin and David Norris wanted to come but teacher wouldn't let them?? What is he on?? These days, players go where they want to. He gets more bizarre every time he speaks. Am seriously beginning to worry about the guy. Also worrying signs of the honeymoon with MM is over for him.

On Mandaric, I think any manager working for him has reason to feel a little vulnerable. And the remark about Martin and Norris? To be honest not many players on United's books would go against the advice of Sir Alex, and Its perfectly plausible that Norris would have taken into consideration his partner's views, especially given that in footballing terms Ipswich and Leicester are very simlar in size currently and in potential, and that Ipswich are the bigger club historically.

The feedback from a friend of mine who went was as follows

"Basically IH said there are real problems at the club,he said MM is very difficult to work with(no surprise there) and that he virtually forced Tim Davies to quit by laying into him in front of others.MM is always trying to sign players that IH has no interest in.(altough we are supposed to be getting Scott Sinclair on loan, something MM has sorted with Avram Grant)

IH said there are problems with the players,Hume is a major disruption with a big ego problem,Ngotty refuses to play at left back.He said at Plymouth he had 11 lads that would play for the badge,at Leicester the players are more interested about what car they are driving than playing for the badge. On Saturday Mattock made an error for Blackpool's winner and 3 players had a go at Mattock in the changing room! IH layed into those 3 on Monday. The Hungarian winger thinks he

has made it after the crowd gave him a good reception on his debut!

Incredibly Rab Douglas is on £25k a week!! IH said some of the contracts are unbelievable.A championship club below us (maybe Preston) put in an excellent offer for one player (maybe Fryatt) but he wouldn't go because of his contract at Leicester.

IH wanted to sign David Norris,he said Norris was very keen to come, his girlfriend lives in Peterboro, but the deal with Ipswich was for £2.5m plus another £2.5 if Ipswich go up!!

Does your mate work for The Sun?

The reason I ask? Only a tabloid journalist could twist and sensationalise what was actually said to such a degree as he has done.

What was actually said then?

Douglas is not on 25k a week.

He's on about 7 or 8k a week, similar to what De Vries was on (about 30k a month).

As for the idiot that said players decide where they want to go nowadays....erm, no they dont.

If Sir Alex Ferguson tells you you're going to Sheff U, you're going to Sheff U. And Norris, well if that 2.5 million clause for promotion is correct, then i'm glad hes gone there cos that is ****ing ludicrous.
