Bert Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 We also enjoyed an afternoon out at Stoughton Karting Centre on Tuesday and needless to say it was Team McLaren - comprising of myself, Gaz McAuley, James Chambers and Bruno N'Gotty - who took to the winner's podium! It was an endurance challenge and, after Paul Henderson had inexplicably crashed in to the tyre wall (sorry, Hendo - the stewards weren't watching!), we pipped him, Matt Oakley, Patrick Kisnorbo and Steve Howard to the silverware by just four seconds!! Barry Hayles, the two Hungarians and Carl Pentney finished rock-bottom and it was no surprise after they had resembled Sunday strollers rather than racing car drivers. Gabor and Zsolt seemed more intent on smiling and waving as they passed the pit lane! Other highlights included Ashley Chambers, aka Lewis Hamilton, taking the fastest lap trophy, some skulduggery with the pit boards while we couldn't really tell when physio Tom Freeman had his crash helmet on and off due to the size of his forehead! From Clems column.
Monk Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Ha. Sounds like a good team building exercise anyhow. Any news on if Hendo got injured?
MPH Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 i dunno... one good game and its got to those hungarians already!
