LeeCovFox Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 I have never been a big fan of Wes Brown but to be hones this season he has done very well for Man Utd. He is a very solid defender. However like you said I would have prefered Richards. He can't play. He's a ginger.
Tommy G Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Upson is a big girls blouse? He's a very good defender. With a dodgy beard last time I looked! He is average, Richards is better at CB. I don't think Upson is good enough either. Play Woodgate at centre back with Rio, and Richards at right back. Trouble is with Woodgate is that he can have a fantastic game, then loose his way a bit. When he's on top of his game then theres no-one better...hence the word 'when' Will cashley Cole be playing? What a cu nt he is

Tommy G Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Yes Richards is better, but a calling him a big girls blouse Compared to Richards though. Actually anyone compared to Richards is a Big girls blouse...
LeeCovFox Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 Yeah Cole is playing. Personally I'd have Bridge there. His distribution is so much better than Cole's. I'd say Cole is perhaps a slightly better player in terms of getting forward, but he leaves gaps at the back and isn't the best tackler. Bridge isn't the quickest mover but as well as having decent passing ability he is well capable of putting in good crosses from deep.
Bert Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Compared to Richards though. Actually anyone compared to Richards is a Big girls blouse... John Terry? Kolo Toure?
LeeCovFox Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 John Terry? Kolo Toure? I think Richards could take them both. It would be hilarious seeing him taking on SWP tho.

Kolo Toure? Neither. Richards is the most powerful and strong player about at the minute. Ade Akinbiyi close second. ..

Tommy G Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Oh dear me. What a pillock. I have absolutely no idea where that came from. Wsn't Bridges last seen hanging around Hull? I haven't a clue mate. On the treatment table at some club somewhere im guessing. Made me chuckle anyway - knew exactly who you were on about but had to make a point of it

LeeCovFox Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 i mean hesnot in the starting 11 But he is.
Bert Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Neither. Richards is the most powerful and strong player about at the minute. Ade Akinbiyi close second. .. Have to disagree with you there. I think Toure is.
Tommy G Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Have to disagree with you there. I think Toure is. No worries. Disagreement and opinions is what this forum is all about

Ric Flair Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Wes Brown has had probably his best season for many years this season, but Richards has been quality for England and Man City as well this season. I'd have liked both to be playing to be honest, but then again Upson is having a good season too. Capello tends to know what he's doing so let's see what happens. Great to see Bentley and Young given a chance, shame Agbonlahor is injured, he'd be quality alongside Rooney or Crouch IMO.

Although I agree, Micah did have a poor game against Arsenal, and I think Capello was at the game, so maybe that swayed his decision!!
Big Ol' Bob Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Upson is a better centre back compared to the "Hyped up" Richards. Mainly teenagers or kids that seem to love Richards, mainly because he is fast and shaves lines in his eyebrows. Ferdinand and Upson would be my first choice CB pairing, closely followed by Lescott and one of either Rio and Upson, Terry is a racist thug and is one of the worst captains England has had for a while, stay at Chelsea and moan about not being paid enough.
lildave3 Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Have to disagree with you there. I think Toure is. Drogba? Adebayor? Possibly.
Staf Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Will be nice to see Upson in the team and also Bentley wonder what sort of reaction he will get
