maddog Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 I know this is not going to be popular but I think we need to take decisive action.We are already a laughing stock and Holloway and his comedic outpourings are just making this worse. It will be far worse in League One- look at the Trees and Leeds- its not easy getting back up. Since Holloway has taken over its gone from bad to worse and with the transfer window closed it s not going to get any better. With the fixtures coming up we need someone with Championship/prem/internation ability like Glenn Hoddle to sort the players out and get the tactics right. Losing to Blackpool and Plymouth is unacceptable and we have tough games coming up. Please Milan sort this mess out. Not even i would stoop this low and start this thread Whats the point in sacking another manager? No one any good would want to come here.

This is exactly what has wasted us this season keep axing managers which unsettles the players then kills the confidence and produces the bad results. We need some consistancy which means keeping a manager for more than a couple of months. Look at Martin O' neil, his first couple of months wernt the best then look what he did for us after that! After all IH go Plymouth up to 4th so we've got to be patient. Im not worried aslong as we avoid goin down we can build for next season with the same manager.

Do you seriously think that getting ANOTHER manager in to disrupt the team again will do ANYTHING?!? We need stability and Holloway will keep us up and then build on that for next season when we will make a push for the play-offs if not automatic promotion!

Any manager that we bring in now is going to need time to implement his own ideas - by that time we could be many points adrift and struggling to claw them back should he not be the man for the job.

We have lost 2 games in a row for christ's sake! Get a grip! Not so long ago. we were in the bottom three. Now we are 4 points clear of it. I think most of us would have settled for that before Christmas.

I'd prefer this scenario, which is far more realistic than either of your suggestions: Ollie stays, we survive, he builds in the summer, and next season we have a side comfortably in the top half at the very least, perhaps even mounting a promotion push.
