cecchini Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Been reading the boards and trying to catch up with the general banter. Saturday was the first game i've seen in a while and to be honest i was as depressed and shocked as hell! Going to the game cost me a 26 quid ticket, plus about 200 quid in diesel and 16 hours in the car with 3 screaming kids..... Reminded me of the worst of the taylor days, there is no appetite, there is no spirit just pure crap with a crust of laziness. I got the impression that Holloway was embarrased to be there, he clearly felt that there was some justification in the chants coming from the Argyle fans. I believe that Holloway is our man and will turn this around. He needs time and confidence. I just hope we can survive until then. when you're smilin'

To watch Leicester. When it was on sky. Are you crackers?!
Moreton Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 You came all the way from Luxembourg. To watch Leicester. When it was on sky. Are you crackers?! Yeah you must be bonkers, Send a letter to Mr Manderic saying how far u have come and how dissapointed you were with the performance and you are bound to get some sort of free gift from the club.
cecchini Posted 11 February 2008 Author Posted 11 February 2008 Lived in sunny(not) Lux for the last 4 years, this is the first season i did not buy a season ticket. Have lots of family still in Leicester so I can visit them after the match... There is only one LCFC
cecchini Posted 11 February 2008 Author Posted 11 February 2008 BTW try watching French Ligue 1 football (nearest to me is Metz) You have Lyon, PSG, monaco and Marseille maybe Nice and that's it. Metz were relegated last season to Ligue 2 (pub football) Nightmare!
Babylon Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 It has been like this for four years, i'm use to the shite now.

Move back and we'll start winning.
marbelladave Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 For your further amusement. Don't often make it to the Walkers, journey is a nightmare. Usually try for the London games ( Charlton, Palace etc ) as they can usually be reached from Gatwick by train. Have some friends in Manchester so, weekend before last got up before dawn, early flight Malaga to Manchester, arriving mid morning. Picked up by mate and driven to Blackpool. Fill his tank full of unleaded, bit of lunch and a couple of beers, 2 tickets for game, all of course on me. Watch 90+ mins of complete garbage, get driven back to Manchester by mate who can barely drive for laughing. Have nice meal with him and his girlfriend at a half decent restaurant, also my shout. Mate drives me to airport in the morning, flight home in time for a late lunch (4.00pm Spanish style) Wife asks me if I had a nice weekend, I burst into tears!

sdb Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 dear me, we must be driving away so many fans. 21,000 for a big night game against our newest, bitter rivals (a little OTT maybe!) aint that great, Sky or not.
marbelladave Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Ibby Apart from Watford, which is midweek so not possible there are no easy trips left this season, so will have to be Easter if the flights are OK price wise. Make a weekend of it! Hull at home, can't wait.
Daggers Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Wife asks me if I had a nice weekend, I burst into tears! I lost £20 somewhere between leaving home and getting back again if that helps any...

cecchini Posted 20 February 2008 Author Posted 20 February 2008 Certainly am. Despite being born in Paris of Italian parents I am Leicester through and through. Have spent fortunes and done idiotic things getting to games from Luxembourg (there ain't no cheap flights to EMA from here!). Just ask my brother! Company I work for have many "sporting contacts", and have often visited the emirates, old trafford, Barca etc, but i find myself listening for the leicester results on a radio/mobile/web. Blue army it is - Blue Army it will always be!
