Uncle Albert Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Just bagged myself the 1969 Fa Cup Final programme for just over £5 off Ebay. My Grandad, bought all the programmes from Liverpool's finals in 2001. 5 of them in all. Only cost him £12.50, including P+P. I may get hunting.

Yeah I've just been looking at the FA Cup final's ones mostly. Obviously the less recent ones are going for more, but I suppose it's better to buy now than in years time.
lildave3 Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I used to read that, which is embarrasing, looking back at it it's a load of rubbish! I know Matchman was some kind of gangsta.
Geo V Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I thought that I had lost them but I have a stack from the early 80s. I`ll dig them out to have a look at Paul Ramseys tash in a minute
reynard Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 I'm after the League Cup 1st leg vs. Stoke, 15th April 1964 if I can find one for sensible money. There is one for sale at an auction this weekend at the Premier travel Inn in Leicester. Don't know what you call sensible money but I think the estimate is around £50. Sold by Knights auction house. They have a web site www.kights.co.uk
reynard Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 Grrr.Just missed out on four 60's Leicester programmes off Ebay. Even bidding at the last minute wasn't good enough! <_< There is a lot of 70 odd LCFC programmes from 60s and 70s coming up this sunday at the premier travel inn in Leicester. I think the estimate for the lot was 25-35 but you could check at their website www.knights.co.uk

Jonbluefox9 Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 I'm not a collector of programmes although a friend of my family, who was a huge Leicester City supporter, gave me a collection as a gift a few years before he died. The collection included the FA cup final programmes from '49, '61,'63 and '69, semi-final programmes from '49, '69 and '82 and a programme from a Scotland Vs England match at Hampden Park in 1948. They're all in mint condition, other than the Scotland one which is slightly creased, which is amazing considering some of them are almost 60 years old!

DB11 Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 Grimsby home in the promotion season when we also went in administration. I dunno where it is now though. Somewhere amongst the rest of my programs probably.
Fox You Forest Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 My mother dearest works in a rest home and a very kind old gentlemen has give me quiet a few. Dating from: Earliest - 2 From 67/68 Season (one of which is a forest programme when leicester were away) 5 or 6 from 68/69 season Fa cup semi final and semi final replay against liverpool in 74 Leicester v Leatherhead. Loads really just cant be arsed to name them.
Ibbyfox Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 Got one from my first game, Leicester v Bournemouth in old 2nd Division circa 1987 ............. we lost 1-0 in a bl**dy awful game but for some reason I was hooked!!
DB11 Posted 22 March 2008 Posted 22 March 2008 23rd December 2000 - West Ham. First Leicester games.Don't get programmes now, £3 every other week is just too much, and it's not much more than just a collectors item imo. I only get them because I get them free. My first one was Grimsby when we got promoted.
Narborough Bod Posted 22 March 2008 Posted 22 March 2008 'Save them, Any Programme from the 40's will fetch over 100 quid.Post wars though is were your looking at big money. Not always true. I collect them all for my old man, who has hundreds and hundreds. He goes to auctions and get's them by the box load too, they aren't worth that much. Only programmes worth a bit are those ones with a bit of significance or really rare ones. eg Man Utd v Man City when Dennis law scored for Man City to send Utd down and wouldn't celebrate the goal. Or if you want to make some money, get them signed.
