breadandcheese Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 He'll never get a passport and rightly so. The man has very little dignity that he shouts wild accusations, labels people as Nazi's, creates a circus out of this whole event. You only have to go into Harrods and see the statue he had commissioned to commemorate his son Dodi to see the sick nature of the man. Comical he may be, in the same way you laugh at clowns, but as a person, he is nothing to be admired.
the_bowman Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 This will probably spark controversy, and at my age I don't fully understand it so I'm not going to take part. Just to stir thing up a bit I will quote my citizenship teacher's summarisation of the Diana inquest: Who Cares?

Not many people. Quite frankly I don't give a ****. I'm pretty fed up with constantly hearing about it on the news.
the_bowman Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 Personally I don't care much about it, but only being 15 I probably wouldn't be expected to either. Still, obviously a lot of people are, and a lot of people are putting a lot of money into a lot of investigations to get a lot of information so that a lot of people can recieve a lot of information, therefore making them a lot happier.
FleckneyFox Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 Oh well at least if hes gonna make up a story hes gotta entertain us a bit. Seriosly though why cant people just leave Diana to Rest in Peace. no one gives a shit anymore

Al Fayed does believe what he says and if the McCann's can have wall to wall coverage for Madeleine then he should get some for his son Dodi.
Webbo Posted 20 February 2008 Author Posted 20 February 2008 Bit harsh there, ben. Al Fayed does believe what he says and if the McCann's can have wall to wall coverage for Madeleine then he should get some for his son Dodi. I wondered who'd be the first to link this with Madeleine McCann, My money was on Chandler but you were 2nd favourite.
l444ry Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 With the public increasingly weary of the Diana inquest, there has been growing pressure on Scotland Yard to get to the bottom of the matter. The Yard had assigned their best sleuth to the case and he was quick to solve matters. Chief Inspector Chandler has concluded that the butler did it. At the news conference announcing his findings, Chandler said "We have him on videotape. He admitted he had lied. He said he had tried some Red Herring and we have conclusive evidence it was catfish imported from China." When asked how they could know that, Chandler scoffed "Elementary. He had enough lead in his system to ballast an aircraft carrier." Another journalist pointed out that even if true this added no more to the case than the demented ramblings of Dodi's daddy who seemed to be seriously in need of getting a life. At this point, Chandler asked what Al-Fayed had to do with a clear case of tainted fish imports from China. An indulgent journalist explained matters to the Inspector, and Chandler concluded the briefing saying "Oh, that! Well! Everyone knows what happened. What's the mystery?" "Lee Harvey Oswald was behind the plot. He was in a sniper's nest, on the Eiffel Tower." When he saw the limousine he fired three shots," explained Chandler. "The first missed completely, the second killed a passing pigeon and the third hit the nearside front wheel of the car".
Nick Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Lots of things have been said under the protection of the witness box but the inquest into Diana's death has taken over 10 years which is highly suspicious and mighty strange in itself and you've only got to read about it to know the whole affair stinks. All sorts of things seem to have gone on that shouldn't have done, evidence has gone missing, procedures have inexplicably not been followed, certain things have been covered up, people conducting hearings have dropped out, potential witnesses have died. Memories fade over time and people die. But whatever your opinion of Al Fayed or anyone else involved there is no doubt in my mind that people with vested interests have tried to cloud the truth right from day one. The question really is why. Because of what happened, what they were afraid might have happened, because other aspects needed protecting or some sort of combination or all those things? Al Fayed is unquestionably emotional about the issue and any father would understand that. He may be deliberately seeking to provoke reaction. But nothing seems right about the case and the feeling I get is that The Establishment are desperate to keep a lid on it. Couldn't agree with you more, Thrac. I have followed this since the day the news broke and I remember turning on the TV, looing at the pictures and the report and thinking, "JFK", N.
The Reverend Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Bit harsh there, ben. Al Fayed does believe what he says and if the McCann's can have wall to wall coverage for Madeleine then he should get some for his son Dodi. Why? It was 10 years ago. Whatever happens, the truth will never come out. The Royal Family are too powerful. Im getting sick of it though to be honest.
