LOST COV TICKETS

Recommended Posts

Bought 3 tickets on Sat from the ticket office prior to the Norwich match. I put the tickets in my wallet but then on Monday night, like a complete twat, I somehow lost my wallet. I rang the ticket office yesterday to ask if they could replace them an they told me I had to buy some new ones! They said I should get a crime number from the police and then claim on my insurance!!

As far as I'm aware, losing tickets is not a crime - not in breaking the law sense. Also I think the insurance excess would be more than £73.50.

I was well pissed off especially as I purchased the tickets with a switch card, meaning they have a record of the transaction.

I know I should've looked after the tickets better and thats my fault, but there'll now be 3 empty seats in row at Coventry on Saturday (unless some lucky dishonest bastard has found them) and I don't see why I should have to pay a further £73.50 to pay for something I've already paid for when the club has a record of me buying them! Its not like I bought a TV, lost it and then asked them to replace it. Its merely a seat at a footy ground.

Has anyone else on here ever lost their tickets and actually managed to get them replaced by the club?? If so, how?? I even emailed MM and his P.A replied!! She wrote like she was a bit of a fitty too!! Didn't get anyway though!

Phone up the ticket office. They should have your details stored etc. You will be fine.

Someone is out there with your tickets though and they have probably sold them on already. It's possible if the club re issues them that 2 lots of people will turn up to sit there. Also the club has to think worst case and presume you are just trying it on... they can't hand tickets out left right and centre unfortunately.

If cov have barcode tickets they may be able to cancel them, but i'd imagine it's unlikely.

Although technically not a crime, the insurance would require a crime number from past experience.

I tried that. They weren't very helpful at all. I sent an email complaining to the club 'Supporters Liason Officer' and also copied Milan in on the email, plus the ticket office!

They just say that if I'd bought over the phone, they would've recorded the seat number and would be able to replace, but becuase I made the extra effort to actually go to the ticket office and buy them in person, even though I paid on my card and they have all details of the transaction, that they don't record the seat number and that they are unable to replace!

Well miffed.

I've got to buy 3 more now as two of them were for my mates who have paid me for them!! At least I didn't have their money in my wallet too, otherwise I'd have lost out double!!! :@

Do you know where your seats were? Because if they were at the back somewhere I'm sure a few people on here will fill those seats anyway :D

Seriously though, unlucky to lose them, keeping trying

Right, complain and complain. Say your not happy with the help youv'e been given. Ask to speak to the shift manager or ticket manager. On the phone would be ideal. Tell him 'how is it might fault'. You will get their in the end.

All tickets would have a order number on them. Have you lost that as well.?

Well, that Supporter Liason bloke, Peter Jones rang today and left a message on my phone saying he'd call back............ unfortunately, he rang whilst I was in a friggin meeting, so I was unable to moan at him about it! Hopefully he'll call back tomorrow!

Have to wait and see.

I threatened to bin my season ticket and never spend any more of my hard earned cash on LCFC. I can't imagine that ever happening though. Although it does really piss me off. Also tried the sympathy approach, ie, been supporting them since 1980, have to drive from Wrexham for mid-week games as work away from home, been to about 10 away games, blah, blah, blah!! Its all true, but thought I'd mention it! Fell on deaf ears tho!!

I rang my bank to ask if there was a transaction number, which they confirmed. Like I say tho, made no diff whatsoever.

They reckon its cos the tickets were issued by Cov and that the Leicester ticket office are merely acting as a selling agent.

:dunno:

Cool!!! Just been offered freebies for West Brom away!!!

I suspect there's going to be a lot Leicester tickets being "lost" over the next few months now!. :giggle:

I just told them I lost my season ticket and they gave me a free elephant.

Hang on a minute - it was a spanish onion, I always get the two confused.

The Cov tickets do actually say on the back "The Club accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen tickets."
