Flynny Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Surely it'd be today or tomorrow? For the record I'm still behind the bloke, although his tactical blunders on Saturday didn't exactly boost my faith in him. But if Mandaric does choose to pull the trigger, as pointless as I think it would be, now must be about as late as he's prepared to leave it?
StroudFox Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I don't think he will sack him. If he was going to do it, I think he would have done it several weeks ago. I think he will stick with him till end of season and then assess the situation. Just My Opinion - I could be wrong!
ASH17LCFC Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Well Bentleys Roof are saying that its highly likely and Dowie has been in talks and accepted the job. BYE BYE OLLIE
Zingari Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 He won't be sacked , he'll just be told that he needs to spend more time with his family
Foxhateram Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Well Bentleys Roof are saying that its highly likely and Dowie has been in talks and accepted the job.BYE BYE OLLIE I like Ollie and Dowie!! why the fook are you smiling aobut that? he will bugger off and ;eave us if we do go down. atleast Ollie will stay and bring us back up! Dowie is an ugly muppet who got lucky with Palace. Sacking Ollie now is the wrong thing to do! Why the hell do people in football think that getting rid of the manager will make any difference. There is only one set of people to blame for our league position, its not Ollie, its not Mandy! is those idiots on the pitch who dont know the meaning of passion or commitment! They play for their pay check and that it, they could stand doing nothing and still get paid £15,000 a week! The players are to blame, and even the best of managers wouldn't know what to do with that lot.

The manager brought these players you fool He picks the tactics what were useless on saturday and im smiling because ollie is going back on the dole.
Foxhateram Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 The manager brought these players you fool He picks the tactics what were useless on saturday and im smiling because ollie is going back on the dole. But do you seriously beleive that Dowie will make any difference? There hasnt been any players that play for the shirt for years, its not just Ollie's "crop" it seems to be an attitude they aquire when they arrive here. The tactice were useless saturday, but against West Brom he changed it around perfectly to take advantage of the situation, he played the right game at cardiff and Palace, and took advantage of Norwich's sending off in that game aswell. I think some people need to take a look at both sides of the story. agreed he fooked up on saturday, we all make mistakes. Ollie to stay, we need stability and consistancy, things arent going to change over night, this team has had less then half a season to gel! it takes years for a team to develope properly, and we haven't given our teams the chance to do that for a long, long time. If were going to go down, then we'l do it wether we keep ollie or not.
sdb Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Well Bentleys Roof are saying that its highly likely and Dowie has been in talks and accepted the job.BYE BYE OLLIE are you a leicester supporter? why are you happy about the prospect of continued instability at our club, followed by the appointment of an incoherent, gargoile looking monster with an average track-record in football?

Its Ollies fault for picking 'experienced. players and not those committes to Leicester City like the fans are. Bye bye Ollie.
FilboFox Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I'll say nothing... I think most people know my opinion on this by now.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 MM will keep him this season now. The best chance we have of staying-up is with IH staying here - as much as it pains me to say it. Then, one of two things will happen IMO: MM will become unhappy early close season and get rid. Or, he'll give him 8 to 10 games next season & if we aren't in the top half of the table be it CCC or Div one - he'll be out. What I would add is that it was obvious after 10 games or so that IH wasn't having the desired effect. Progress should have been made in that time new players or not. There was none. As I said then & I'll say it again, he talks the talk but look at what's happening on the field! He says the right things but talking doesn't get you points. If/when he's gone goodness knows where we'll go then! Who'll want to come here with MM at the helm? He too has no track record. As I and others have said, he got lucky at Portsmouth and even then, nearly blew-it. FFF
lookwhaticando Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I'll say nothing... I think most people know my opinion on this by now. I've been away for the last seven weeks, can you share your opinion one more time, please.
Thracian Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Well Bentleys Roof are saying that its highly likely and Dowie has been in talks and accepted the job.BYE BYE OLLIE If Mandaric has any intentions of appointing Dowie, and he seems to have been keen on him from the off, and he has had talks with the bloke, then surely Dowie would want responsibility for trying to keep City up, especially after Saturday's result. Would Dowie fancy the job if we went down courtesy of someone else? MM introduced his emergency replacement manager in similar circumstances last season and it our status was saved. Why would he not do the same thing this season? No, Dowie would not be my choice but neither was Nigel Worthington last year. In fact we've never had a manager I'd have chosen at the time, more's the pity. But if Mandaric rates Dowie then, other than the pain of compensation to Holloway, I'd imagine, as Flynny says. now would be latest he dare leave it. An effective four-five-one at home, and failing to score in four of the last five games at The Walkers is really no advert for a managerial saviour when your team is desperate for wins and, by definition, for goals.

Yes also, Things will massively improve under Holloway, though obviously not all is January signings are going to come off, but he has got 2 out of 2 so far imo. I think we have tremendouly exciting times ahead with great attacking football to look forward to as Holloway takes us to a new era of success topped only by O'neills golden age at LCFC. P.S. look out for the new City anthem next season . ...."IT'S JUST LIKE WATCHING ARSENAL.. .....IT'S JUST LIKE WATCHING ARSENAL" So sit back all you moaners and chill...Let Holloway do his job...Good times are just around the corner
C-man Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Well Bentleys Roof are saying that its highly likely and Dowie has been in talks and accepted the job.BYE BYE OLLIE Bentley's Roof may be quick off the mark at getting highlights on the internet, but it's hardly a haven of all things true. Dowie over Ollie? Ha! How quickly has everyone forgotten Dowie taking Cov backwards? And how many of these people advocating Dowie said 'Fuck off you ugly gimp' when he looked odds on to become our manager previously?
maddog Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 But do you seriously beleive that Dowie will make any difference? If were going to go down, then we'l do it wether we keep ollie or not. But if we are highly likely to go down with Ollie and i think we are. Surely we have to try and change it and stop us going down TBH i would prefer to stick with Ollie if we went down not sure though if we stay up. How about bring in Dowie now, if we stay up keep him, if we go down bring back Ollie!
maddog Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Dowie's win percentage with Cov was 41% when he was sacked. Ollies is about 25% with us.
C-man Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Dowie's win percentage with Cov was 41% when he was sacked. Dowie has broken his nose 25 times.
sdb Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 Dowie's win percentage with Cov was 41% when he was sacked.Ollies is about 25% with us. so his win % will be 41% with us too? great! i know how we can survive!! no matter how clueless our players and supporters are - Dowie will win 41% of games with us!
Rt Hon Percy Longprong Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 are you a leicester supporter? why are you happy about the prospect of continued instability at our club, followed by the appointment of an incoherent, gargoile looking monster with an average track-record in football? His win percentage was only 16% at Charlton proving you can't really look into what manager's previous records are.
Uncle Albert Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I hope so much that Mandaric doesnt sack Ollie and we stay up. Hopefully then it will shut most of you clowns up on here. Come on Ollie!
