Fickle Fans

Some of our fans are so fickle!

Just get behind the team and stop criticising the bloke. I have always had full confidence in Holloway and I think he deserves at the very least a full season before he can be judged. He has improved the squad, and results will follow. I understand that the pressure was and still is on but Mandy has not pulled the trigger and he has an awful record when it comes to having patience with the manager.

Whilst on the subject of fickle fans, I don't understand booing Clem, the guy has not performed to expectations I agree, but some games he has been very good. He is carrying an injury so what do you want from the guy? He is injured and by the sounds of things has got himself in a worse physical state today with a calf injury. I'm sure next season we will see a different player when he resumes his full fitness and has a good pre season.

Stearman has been very poor for years. Think back to the amount of chances he has had to produce good performances and delivered fook all. Now he has put in a few good displays, it's like everyone wants him for man of the decade or something. I am perplexed! He will have to continue his form for me to cheer him so readily as the majority do. He has to make up for crap he put me through for years.

Our fans were on here this morning going on about how this was a big game but they did not bring the noise like I was expecting. I however am not shocked! Kop where were you? West stand/ east stand and north stand its not even worth mentioning and L and K were poor.

When the hell were we criticising him? :dunno: We won the game FFS. And Clem, he is s*it when he isn't injured. Stearman was never poor just low on confidence. And the Kop was much better today, and Jobber was fantastic for about 25 minutes before getting tired. Hopefully he moves to the kop permanently because he's wasted in L1.

Are you suggesting Clem is good when he is injured?

Could it be possible for Clem to be low on confidence?

I will ask Lee what he thought and see if it is possible?

P.S 95% of the supporters in the Kop suck Donkey balls, as far as supporting the team goes

Fair enough but all I see is Kid's chumming him up because he is from Lubenham. If he was not local then would he get the same treatment as Clem does?

Clem is crap when he is injured because he is INJURED dipstick >_<

Clem is captain, he should be doing a captain's job!

Sure

But at least we know what the score is at the end of the match!

Contradiction

Should Clem Be sailing or Cutting up Fish fingers?

I will

Confused by the last remark also

I've never said we should sack him, and I've never been on his back. BUT I'm not 100% confident in him. He has built a considerably better side, but appears to get very little consistancy and confidence out of them.

I agree with most of this, i did'nt hear Clem getting booed, but if he was just shows what a bunch of cnuts our fans are.

I disagree with the Stearman bit tho, i was one of his biggest critics, but this year he has turned it around. When he first broke into the team as a young un, he was very good, and looked a real player. But he went off the boil for a season, why that was i dont know, perhaps transfer specualtion unsettling him, i dont know, but he seems to have got his head down now and wants to play. Credit to him for that.

Yes Clem is shit. The captain of a promoted side last season and a player who has been around the top level most of his career, is all of a sudden shit. Has he shagged your mum or something?

What I am saying is that to me Stearman has more to prove to me than a few decent performances.

I find fans that come out and say this after we win just as fickle! We have a lot of hard work left. Im behind Ollie and the team, as always but we are in this position because both have been poor! Today is a big step to survival, and we must move on from this.

If that's aimed at me as I started this, Daggers and Sir Finway can state that I said as much before the game.

Its not been a few though Kilworth. I'd say we've played over 15 games this calender year, and in my opinion, he has probably been the most consistent of the lot of them, and he wasnt too bad at the start of the season. If he carries on in the same vein until the end of the season, there'll be clubs in for him, because in a team doing well, he could be so much better.

Hopefully you are right and we get some good money for him then.

I admit I am in the majority but I hate to see the local lad play (IMO) crap and still get lorded or gone easy on because he is local. Especially when Other players are given dogs abuse and don't do much different to Stearman.

He's not playing shit though now Kilworth, i think thats the point!

I agree he was not shit today. Or recently. I don't see how he deserves the praise he gets, just like Fryatt really.

I agree with this and I find it worrying that a better side lacks the consistancy we so desperately need week in week out.

Yeah but we'll win all the remaining games so it'll all be fine!

Oh yes.

He didn't stop talking.

The ambulance had to come out three times to revive Tigers fans who had collapsed due to a deficit of oxygen at our end of the pub.

I myself drowsed off twice during his longest monologue.

So why does Holloway keep picking Clemence instead of King? The bloke is clearly not fit and his brief presence today could have cost us dearly. I have said time and again there is no defence for picking unfit footballers eithe from their point of view or from ours and today was a glaring example of why.

As far as I could see wwe won today in spite of Holloway no because of him.

The introduction of Bell was a bonus but second half we seemed torn between supporting our attacks and sitting on our lead and it gave S****horpe a glimmer of hope they never earned or deserved.

So why does Holloway keep picking Clemence instead of King?

The answer is in the impact he instantly had when coming onto the pitch. Our midfield shifted up a gear instantly as his running and passing was far superior to Weso's.

I do not understand King's exclusion either and would like to see him making the bench at least now.

Interestingly, Stearman was named in the Championship team of the day in the News of The World, which probably isn't very reputable but goes to show he's playing well, and he seems to be doing well fairly consistently now so fingers crossed he'll keep playing with the passion he has been of late.

Regarding the Holloway situation, I think the players seem to love him, Lee Hendrie was saying that the gaffer is one of the main reasons he wants to stay, I think they all get on well but maybe he can be a bit too jokey at times. To really instill the confidence in the players, he should maybe cut down the joking around and treat it more seriously all the time with the players, he puts it on a lot for the cameras and if he's doing that all the time with the lads then it could be a bit confusing for them, they need to be shown greater leadership and I think by changing the captaincy to maybe Oakley then this will also help a lot too.
