lildave3 Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 You know it though LD. You know I'm not joking.Don't wanna give in...fine. Unless you hit the sack at some point, we'll be in the exact same situation...same time, tomorrow. Well not really, because i'll be in Hartlepool and you'll be in bed.
Asha Posted 16 February 2009 Author Posted 16 February 2009 There is no way on earth you could go 60+ hours without sleeping. Well I'm almost 2/3 of the way there, and still not tired.
Libertine Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 There is no way on earth you could go 60+ hours without sleeping. Not without training and preparation anyway. The record is 11 days by the way guys...
Bert Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Ohh, thanks maaaaate. What a ridiculous claim...,its not like we're over Cheds for poker on Wednesday. Unless some kind soul picks me up, I won't be. Maybury claims he isn't going.
Libertine Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Well I'm almost 2/3 of the way there, and still not tired. You must be smacked off your tits or something then.
Milky Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Not without training and preparation anyway. The record is 11 days by the way guys... Randy Gardner, a 17-year-old high-school student from San Diego, stayed awake for eleven complete days. Although he felt nauseous at times, had difficulty reading, and suffered temporary memory lapses, he had no long term emotional or physical side-affects of the experiment. p.s. fook off nosey pig
lildave3 Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Well I'm almost 2/3 of the way there, and still not tired. I love how you're saying you're still wide awake, and not had one moment of tiredness.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 The birth of this clique is a beautiful moment.
Joe. Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Unless some kind soul picks me up, I won't be. Maybury claims he isn't going. I can't make it either. <_< Anyway boys: One of the possible side effects of a continued lack of sleep is death. Usually this is the result of the fact that the immune system is weakened without sleep. The number of white blood cells within the body decreases, as does the activity of the remaining white blood cells. The body also decreases the amount of growth hormone produced. The ability of the body to metabolize sugar declines, turning sugar into fat. One study stated that people who sleep less than four hours per night are three times more likely to die within the next six years. Although the longest a human has remained awake was eleven days rats that are continually deprived of sleep die within two to five weeks, generally due to their severely weakened immune system. Intriguing stuff.

syston_fox Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 This is nuts - Ive been awake under 16 hours and Im fooked!! Are either of you even close to dozing off?
Bert Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Well I'm almost 2/3 of the way there, and still not tired. The final third is the hardest bit though, surely? You may not feel tired now, but as soon as it hits you, especially with how long you've not been asleep for, you'll be gone in no time.
lildave3 Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 I just think he's wanked 872 times over his own avatar.
syston_fox Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 The body also decreases the amount of growth hormone produced. Well that explains LD3 right there!
