lcfcadam Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 "I reckon that if we were to win this weekend, a good old-fashioned pitch invasion would go down well at the final whistle - just like the old days! Not saying that we will win of course, as every City fan knows that's always a stupid thing to think, but just a suggestion in case we do. What do you reckon? I'm up for it, but I wouldn't want to end up out there on my own looking like a nutter!" Posted this on 6-0-6 and it got removed! Why, exactly? "Promoting illegal activity"?
dandannieldanok Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The reason tickets are selling fast, is because Owls fans are buying in the home end.
lavrentis Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The reason tickets are selling fast, is because Owls fans are buying in the home end. You have to be joking, flaming nora!
Leicester Lass Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The reason tickets are selling fast, is because Owls fans are buying in the home end. From OwlsTalk: Anybody booked tickets for the home end online and actually got them yet? Don't count your chickens.I got home tonight to find what I thought were the pair of home end tickets that I ordered from their website last weekend, only to find it was a credit card refund and a note saying that they're under police instructions not to sell to anybody who wasn't already on their database.
Mwah Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Hey, Owl in peace. A lot of wednesday fans will be in corperate areas and the blocks nearest to the away fans [family stand side]. People from sheffield or anywhere as far away as manchester seem to now be being refused tickets because they aren't on the database. However this still has not stopped a lot of owls fans finding ways into your end. Owls fans won't cause trouble in your ends. Although it will be hard for them if we score. Hope you give us the 3 points we need and we both stay up. Mwah!

I'd rather us beat you and then sit back and relax at Stoke the following Sunday while you hope Sheffield United don't roll over at Southampton to relegate you. Not sure what to make of this away-fans-in-our-ends business. I've done it before a couple of times so I can hardly complain. I never like it though.
Geo V Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The players have been responsible for making this season miserable, especially at home where we have lost to some average to poor sides. Saturday is the day that they can repay us and win so we can "celebrate" the seasons end. Imagine getting dicked and having to win at a side who is going for automatic promotion??!! The lads owe us big time and it`ll be time to party as the Owls are ripped apart. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Webbo Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 I'm concerned that Sheff Wed will come with a defensive minded attitude as a point is definately more beneficial to them than it is to us. When teams come at us in this way at home we all know what happens.I just hope I am wrong with this asessment. You are, we have more points than Sheff Weds, how can a draw be better for them? Sheff definitely need to win this.

I can sort of see where he's coming from given that they'd feel fairly confident about beating Norwich at home whereas we have to go to Stoke who might need a win for promotion or the title. I don't think it's that simple this season but I will be nervy as hell if we don't beat Wednesday and Norwich win or draw against QPR.
Mwah Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Most of us feel it will be a draw. So IF the saints lose that would be good enough for us. Leaving the 2 sheffield clubs to battle to save their feint hopes of staying up and playoff places.

Mwah Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Your point is? We don't care who goes down. As long as its not us. Saints would then be in the bottom 3. And its us v the saints for the 3rd relegation place on the last day.

However I wish Leicester to stay up more than anything. I think that explains why we have to win on Saturday.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 I'd just like to put on record I have no sympathy for Sheffield Wednesday. They are, in fact, one of my "hate clubs". Chased across the pitch there is the 70s; have taken serial abuse on many occasions at Hillsborough. So, my point? Let's relegate the bastards!
tartanowl Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Why are your club suing the fans ? For speaking out against the way the club has been run and how they have conducted themselves. The comments were made against our ex-chairman Dave Allen and our current CEO Kaven Walker on our messageboard. It is an absolute nonsense. The reason tickets are selling fast, is because Owls fans are buying in the home end. There may be quite a few who will be in your end.

I really really hope that there are none to the away left! I stand there and god help any Wednesdayite if they are found in there. I would hate for any Violence to erupt in this huge game for both sides.

Chairman of the Bored Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The Wednesday fans will point themselves out quite easily; pasty faced, yearning for the "good old times" and having a look of doomed palour about their jowels. Our stewards, top brass in these parts, will spot them immediately and remove them swiftly. They will be condemned to an early bath in the canal. Bring yer wellies lads!
WetFlannel Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Easy. Game against a bottom team. At Home. Chance of a back to back win. We're going to get gang raped.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 We're going to get gang raped. Better make sure my coil is soundly positioned then. I hear them "Northern boys" can be proper rough?
WetFlannel Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Better make sure my coil is soundly positioned then. I hear them "Northern boys" can be proper rough? None of that for me. I'll just lay on the floor and flail.
Tilley Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 None of that for me. I'll just lay on the floor and flail. I'm really nervous and not very optimistic about this one . I think with 3,200 Wednesday fans all in orange getting behind them I can see us falling short I hope I'm proved wrong and the boys come out firing on all cylinders and stuff Wednesday & put this shitty season behind them.
Mwah Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Most owls are in the Family area by the looks of it, not to the left of the away support. So Chrisshaw, no need to feel troubled. Ps: I know you hate us. But I really don't care about that.
