My advice - Get in ground early and set our stall out early doors.

Sod that - I'm not compromising on the pubbage.

Is there a post from you that doesn't mention pub, alcohol, pissed, drink, or something along those lines. :P

A search for any those terms in my posts would probably bring up a 97% success rate.

This game is HUGE and i can't wait.

A loss and we will end up going down.

A win and we will be safe.

A draw and it's still going to go to the wire.

I hope the fans make a little bit of noise :scarf:

I think we will make some noise ... I remember other really important games where the Walkers has got going (beating Notts Forest to get promotion e.g.) Our fans know how important this is, and just for once, I think it'll help...

You're right. Whenever we get a Premiership referee they never seem to have a good game against us. Infact the same can be said for any other ref's on some occasions.

Laws handed new blow ahead of Foxes clash

20080425 17:33 Richard Hinds is the latest Sheffield Wednesday player to be ruled out of the last two games ahead of the six-pointer with Leicester. The Owls defender has suffered an ankle injury and will now be missing for the final two games of the campaign as the club are battling to avoid relegation back to League One. It is the latest blow for boss Brian Laws following confirmation earlier in the week that midfielder Burton O'Brien will also be absent due to a thigh injury picked up in training.

Ahead of the game against Leicester at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday defender Peter Gilbert starts a three-game ban following his dismissal at Blackpool last week. Winger Wade Small is out due to a hamstring strain and midfielder Sean McAllister has been ruled out with a calf problem. Veteran midfield duo Graham Kavanagh and Steve Watson face late fitness tests on respective hamstring and groin injuries. Laws acknowledges things have gone backwards at Hillsborough this season, but points out a number of mitigating circumstances and feels it would be a great achievement if they stay up.

Saturday is not a day for cruise control and a desperate 10-minute rally by the players at the end. It's a day for pride, for passion, for heroes and for being prepared to hurt with the effort of trying to win for every one of those 90 minutes

But I really believe the fans can help carry our team to victory on a soundwave of single-mindedness.

As Springsteen sang:

"Blood brothers in the stormy night with a vow to defend, no retreat no surrender."

Let's hit the high notes.

Let's unite as never before and hope that afterwards it feels like a privilege to have lived and to have shared such a special day.

I want three points, I want the first back2back of the season.

No.

I expect them.

I expect a proper noise for 90 minutes from a Kop long dead. I expect a performance from the heart by players who owe it to the shirt.

I expect victory and a silenced orange corner.

I expect to be able to finish this season at home with a celebratory pint.

Owls

Owls skipper Richard Wood has issued a rallying cry for Wednesdayites to turn the Midlands air orange on Saturday.

SWFC head to Leicester for a relegation six-pointer that will shape the destiny of both sides. And Woody says the sell-out Owls contingent packed into the Walkers Stadium can provide the sturdy platform from which victory is built.

He told swfc.co.uk: "The Wednesday fans are brilliant, always have been. Now we need them for one more push away from home in a game that's the biggest of the whole season so far.

"I've heard the fans are planning to release thousands of orange balloons when the teams come out and believe me, that would be absolutely fantastic and a massive lift for the lads.

"This is a match that could decide whether we get relegated or not and I have no doubt that our fans will be giving their all for us. I know they will be heavily outnumbered but if they could out-sing the Leicester fans - and I know that will be difficult - that would be amazing."

As the tension mounts towards a potentially season-defining contest, Wood has stressed he and his team-mates will cope with the inevitable pressure, just as they did during the basement battle at Colchester earlier in the term.

Wednesday travelled to Essex in mid-March knowing a win would not only increase their own chances of survival but also effectively end those of the U's. And so it proved.

"We won that game which was a high pressure game and that will stand us in good stead," Wood continued. "As long as everyone gives one hundred per cent and we play as we know we can play, we will be fine.

"We did really well at Colchester in massive, must-win circumstances. So we've done it before - now we have to do it again."

Did Joe start the match thread last week? You know what to do son. :)

Nah I didn't, it was Sods.

But he's at the pub apparently tonight. I think it's worth waiting though. :P

We'll wait for Sods then.

Anyone else who even attempts to start the match thread will get crucified. :)
