PAULCFC Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 I'm sure he said "i can promise all the Leicester fans's that we will never be in a situation like this."To be fair he's kept that promise.......We're worse!
Fat Ron Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 He also promised to get us out of this division within 3 years, the mans a genuis AND a miracle worker!!!
Zingari Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 from the daily mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...n_author_id=345 Now you see him. . . Leicester City's topsy-turvy results, that have left them on the brink of relegation from the Championship, seem to be in tune with owner Milan Mandaric's feelings about the club. One day he's in preliminary talks with brokers about selling, the next he says he's at the Walkers Stadium for the long term. i thought that story was supposed to be false it seems many others still believe it

Obviously he's not very good at fortune telling. Personally, I think we'd be in an even worse position without him.
DB11 Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 What does: talks with brokers about selling mean? The brokers part... is that like going into administration?
Nationwider Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 What does: talks with brokers about selling mean? The brokers part... is that like going into administration? broker –noun 1. an agent who buys or sells for a principal on a commission basis without having title to the property. 2. a person who functions as an intermediary between two or more parties in negotiating agreements, bargains, or the like. 3. stockbroker. No, although administration remains a possibility if we keep losing money like we obviously are.

Nationwider Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 Superb, League 1 and -10 points.... Wheres the line for Season Tickets I'm only speculating. I've got no proof that we'd be near administration again, up or down. I'd love to know what the MM contingency plan is for relegation though.

I've got no proof that we'd be near administration again, up or down.I'd love to know what the MM contingency plan is for relegation though. He needn't worry so many fans seem to have it sussed, with clear outs, restructuring etc and they are being serious as well! We'll probably end up with bigger crowds all paying the same prices as this year - MM will make a bigger profit with players on reduced contracts
davieG Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 so would i in nautical terms , the phrase "i'm alright jack" springs to mind, and i don't think MM is the type to implement the Berk in Head Principle That's already implemented

Corky Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 I'd love you to explain why. I think he means on the financial side of things, because it can't be the playing side
Thracian Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 from the daily mailhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...n_author_id=345 Now you see him. . . Leicester City's topsy-turvy results, that have left them on the brink of relegation from the Championship, seem to be in tune with owner Milan Mandaric's feelings about the club. One day he's in preliminary talks with brokers about selling, the next he says he's at the Walkers Stadium for the long term. i thought that story was supposed to be false it seems many others still believe it That seems a very positive claim from the Daily Mail... "one day he's in talks with brokers about selling..." It would have been so easy to insert a modifyer. Something like the words "said to be" in talks, or "reportedly" in talks but the statement is left totally unambiguous which suggests, as least to me, that the information came from a trusted source. Of course, MM might quite reasonably have asked his brokers "what if" for no other reason than to weigh up his options now that the possibility of being relegated has become a probability. Doesn't necessarily mean he will take action although my own belief is that anyone would sell any club if the price were high enough.
davieG Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 I think he means on the financial side of things, because it can't be the playing side As the financial side under the previous board and under Mandaric are a complete mysteries I would suggest that no one can say with any conviction whether we are better off or not! Spending money is no sign of being solvent as the millions of people with massive credit cards debts can testify to.
