Joe. Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Let's reflect on things a bit here. We could go on and on about how this season has been a totaly disaster. It's hard to blame who's been exactly responsible but let's face it- none of that matters at all now. We're down, we deserve it and there's nothing we can do about it. Onwards and upwards eh? I genuinely believe we can bounce straight back from this. It might not even be that bad down there- we might even find out what it feels like to win. Little consolation I know, but it's all I have at the moment. Make no bones about it- today was devastating. The worst feeling you could possibly wish for in football, especially with a bunch of Stoke fan c*nts celebrating right in front of you. But it's happened to other clubs and they've come back from it- there's no reason why we can't either. It's time for changes at this club. I fear we'll lose some of better players such as Hume and McAuley but we'll see I guess. Let's go and sort ourselves out in the summer and get ready for this division. By the time the season starts we'll have got over this relegation and we'll be up for competing in League One. Up the foxes.

Aint no better players..they were all fooking rubbish or we would'nt be where we are...first thing that needs to be done is to get rid of that nomark Holloway...and get in a manager that has some idea...welcome Mr Ince ...and take it from there!

People that think League One will be a walk over can think again. A lot of our best players will be leaving let's face it. We'll be the biggest club in the league if Leeds get promoted, I hope that doesnt work against us
SouthLondonFox Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 especially with a bunch of Stoke fan c*nts celebrating right in front of you Help me out, I wasn't at the game, why were they ****s?
Joe. Posted 4 May 2008 Author Posted 4 May 2008 Help me out, I wasn't at the game, why were they ****s? Just celebrating right in our faces and generally taking the piss.
Father Ted Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Just celebrating right in our faces and generally taking the piss. And we still had like 3 minutes of extra time to play when the Ref blew his whistle early because the StokeScum fans were ready to run onto the pitch!
SouthLondonFox Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Just celebrating right in our faces and generally taking the piss. Done that myself before, And we still had like 3 minutes of extra time to play when the Ref blew his whistle early because the StokeScum fans were ready to run onto the pitch! Haven't done that since the 70s
Guest Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 We'll be the biggest club in the league if Leeds get promoted, I hope that doesnt work against us We'll be everyone's "Cup Final". We have facilities that most of them can dream of. The players will love it, the fans will want to come here. Work against us? Just a bit.
backinthebigtime Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 A time for reflection is spot on, we are all feeling this within our souls as this is our club (take note Mr M), while it is easy to apportion blame to Hollaway or to specific players my feelings are that this started on day one of Mr M,s ego trip that brought him to our club, his poor selection in terms of managers and some would say players has completly destabalised our club from top to bottom....interesting today to see Tim Davies stood with the city faithfull wearing his colours with pride and cheering the team on...no previous engagement for him today. At the moment I have to say this is all pretty hard to take but tomorrow is another day and I like others will renew our season tickets and cheer on our team again next season, whoever may be the manager. Lets just hope our egotistical owner doesnt continue to make such poor decisions or this may not be the bottom of our fall....makes you wonder how he has made any money at all if his management appointments in his other interest were to be as bad as those that relate to our club...Leicester til I die (which would probably feel better than I feel right now)
Forest Rob Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Forest fan here, not to gloat-well not too much anyway. Division 3 is awful, no one can kid you otherwise. At least you won't have Megson managing you in your first season like we had. We suffered three seasons. I hope for your sake you don't have to suffer the same. Was really looking forward to playing you and the sheep next season, but it's not to be. Don't kid yourselves it will be easy to get out at the first attempt. The likes of Yeovil and Harlepool thrive on games with the big teams. And you will be the biggest if Leeds go up. First round of the FA Cup is pretty hard to take, and as for the Johnstones Paint Trophy-well. See you sometime in the future

Don't know about bouncing straight back mate, but I hear what you're saying. As stated, we'll be everyones cup final. I know Leicester fans/players won't have the seige mentality like Leeds , but some of us will try. I'll be renewing my season ticket. I pray we'll give Sappleton, Gradel, Worley et al a good run in the team (with hopefully Hendrie...no chance, but here's hoping), and having a good clearout. No point in dwelling on what could have been. Onwards & upwards.
Ultra Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Stoke must feel so proud, hanging on for a 0-0 at home to a team bound for League 1. I don't think Derby's points record will last for too long...

Relegation has not come as a surprise and im surprised we have avoided the drop in the last 3 seasons. My feeling on Holloway is neither good or bad. He failed in his job but then again what other managers our out there and are good enough? The amount of managers in this and previous seasons has led to this and im sick of it. I just want stability at the club. Unless a fantastic manager is availible over the summer, I think we should stick with Holloway. My opinion on this may change as the new season approaches, however.
DanTheFox07 Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 One this is A very sad day for the club and I feel for everyone one of the supporters and Watching the one`s at the game wasn`t a nice site have to say after all the problem`s weve had as a club in the past just goes to show everyone Money doesn`t gaurentee success! Im very disappointed in the way Mandaric has gone about his buisness all in all with our club. Im feeling very dejected and even more so because i work with a saints Fan who has ripped it out of me because of what`s happened, but on a positive note maybe this is the best thing that has happened to our club in a long time reason being that we can start to blood some of the brillant youngsters we have at our disposal. Hopefully we will be able to keep most of our starlets, joe mattock, richard stearman and Sappleton. The time for change in certain Area`s has got to be now! I think after seeing Harry worley play today he is deffo one for the future! I would Sign him and sell kisnorbo not through choice but there will be many a club after his signature I feel. Max Gradel has already got experience in this division and got into double figures for bournemouth so I think we should give him a chance also, then Think of all the other youngsters we have got king, Chambers, Mckay there is a lot better chance of them being good enough to play more games and be good enough in this division, so hopefully we can build a stronger side to go back into the championship with. Manager wise I think a lot of u will disagree with me here, but i honestly think we should stick with Holloway! he inherited a team that didn`t have the determination and technical ability to put 2 results together on the bounce, yes i don`t think he has been clever in the transfer market but none of our other managers have either and the 2 players he has brought into towards the end of this season bell and worley are promising players. We are in desperate need of stability at this club and Personally I think Getting rid of Holloway and putting Dowie in charge will be a negative. I say let holloway work on our squad over the summer and get rid of the dead wood and blood our younger players and build a better resolve amongst them will make us Stronger in the long Run but then weve all got our opinions on what should be Done!

Corky Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Stoke must feel so proud, hanging on for a 0-0 at home to a team bound for League 1.I don't think Derby's points record will last for too long... I know, and diving to try and win penalties in desperation. And I didn't hear the intimidating Stoke support their fans have been banging on about either. Good luck to them though, they deserve promotion.
Ozwin Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I know! How about we all go to Stoke's final game of the Premier League season and pitch invade 2 minutes early before they're relegated? WHO'S WITH ME?!
Alexikokopops Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I think the BBC Sport website sums up how I'm feeling

Daggers Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Onwards and upwards eh? Yes Joe, A sad day for us and the club - but the future is still ours for the making. Next season brings new grounds, new players, (probably) a new manager and maybe even a new Chairman. We can bid adieu to the glory-hunters who have already started leaving early to avoid the rush; those who stated on here they aren't coming next season and the idiots on RL who were happy to declare their lack of support for the club. We won't miss them, they never made a damn sound at games anyway. Onwards and upwards.

FOR FOOKS SAKE!!!

It was like the 93rd minute anyway. We shouldn't have got ourselves in the position of relying on one minute of championship football to save our season?? No excuses. the thing that annoys me is the fact when the chips are down they can pull off results. Both Wednesday and Southampton did today
