Super Arj Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I was as pissed off as any other fan today when that funal whistle blew but after a few hours... i was trying to take some positives from going to league one 1. Providing MM stays.. we can buy pretty much the best league 1 has to offer.. so we SHOULD automatically be promoted. 2. We can go for the Johnstones paint trophy, which we SHOULD win 3. If we go up next season, we will be full of confidence, and MAYBE have a season as good as Bristol have My mate almost clocked me in the face while I tried to explain this to him, but try to see where I am coming from We have to remain positive, because optimism for next season is the only thing stopping me from suicide at the moment
Finchy Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Please don't go into the season thinking this, you will be disappointed. PS: Please change your sig it makes me wanna cry.

Naboo Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Or... We could continue playing shit and do a Millwall, flirting with relegation in league one. Milan could fook off and leave us in the shit. etc etc.
Sods Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 1. Providing MM stays.. we can buy pretty much the best league 1 has to offer.. so we SHOULD automatically be promoted. Money dosen't mean we automatically get promotion. This will take some building. 2. We can go for the Johnstones paint trophy, which we SHOULD win We won't win that in my view. Seriously, it will be reserve and a few first teamers. 3. If we go up next season, we will be full of confidence, and MAYBE have a season as good as Bristol have Thats probably a good shout, however we need to get back up their first My mate almost clocked me in the face while I tried to explain this to him, but try to see where I am coming from We have to remain positive, because optimism for next season is the only thing stopping me from suicide at the moment
Corky Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 We need a Leeds-style siege mentality next season, everyone is against us, everyone wants to beat us, so we try that extra bit harder to prove them wrong. It will be very hard next season, but, if the players are fully prepared for it, we should do well.
Jordan Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Too many ifs--but one silver lining is that Swansea and Forest are better than S****horpe and Colchester, and if Leeds go up, then League One becomes a bit more weak, too. I mean, not that Leicester could beat any of the crap teams in the Championship like S****horpe and Colchester, but still ...

This is exactly the sort of mentality we need. We need some hard, no, some well hard nutters in our team that can mix it both mentally and physically in this league, along with some quality - which we already have. We should go into this season with this exact attitude. Some astute signings and we'll get out of it no problem. We need the good times to come back, attacking football, excitement, WINS, and tbh, I don't care who it's against. You can only beat what's in front of you. So just bring it!
Asha Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Ricardo Fuller cant score against us. Only at the Walkers, mind.
Corky Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Ricardo Fuller cant score against us. Knowing our luck, he'll probably be sold to Colchester or someone like that.
Super Arj Posted 4 May 2008 Author Posted 4 May 2008 how long do reckon it will take for us to get over it
Ultra Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 The young players may take League 1 by storm. A strikeforce of Gradel, Sappleton and Chambers looks very promising. All we need is a strong midfield to supply them.
Mr Happy Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Relegation= A New Beginning From here on, we can only get better, right?

Jordan Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 "A New Beginning" I think we have next season's "One Team, One Dream!"

Koke Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 The young players may take League 1 by storm. A strikeforce of Gradel, Sappleton and Chambers looks very promising. All we need is a strong midfield to supply them. Hume, Gradel, Bell and Sappleton looks quite deadly. And add Matty Fryatt into the mix too, as he's been there and done it in League 1. But we gotta learn from Forest's mistakes and make sure we don't remain 3 years in this God awful division. They should Forest as an example of how not to get out of League One.

Jordan Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Here's another new possibility: Wycombe win the League Two playoffs and Leicester finally get a chance at revenge ... sweet, sweet revenge ...
Fox You Forest Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 A strikeforce of Gradel, Sappleton and Chambers looks very promising. That does soud good, Hopefully with Hume in there aswell. just heard that sappleton has been sold to chelsea for 4 million dont no wether its true or not.Hope not though
Ultra Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Hume, Gradel, Bell and Sappleton looks quite deadly. And add Matty Fryatt into the mix too, as he's been there and done it in League 1. But we gotta learn from Forest's mistakes and make sure we don't remain 3 years in this God awful division. They should Forest as an example of how not to get out of League One. Forest kept the manager who took them down. So they effectively wasted their first season. As long as we avoid their arrogance, we should do better than they did.
Eastern Fox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 We could find a starting 11 out of our young players that would probably be almost good enough for league 1: Logan, Stearman, Worley, Mattock, Sheehan, Wesolowski, King, Gradel, Porter, Sappleton, Chambers. The question is how many will be bought by 'bigger' clubs.
