SamL Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Andy Bishop (not the old one) We can do better, surely? He only averages a goal every 3 games in League 2.
barmy76uk Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 We can do better, surely? He only averages a goal every 3 games in League 2. may aswell get louis dodds back or tommy wright than bishop!
Rodders Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 The stats are wrong on wikipedia. In 2 seasons at Bury, he's scored 44 in 91 starts. So about 1 in 2.
LeeCovFox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 The report suggested that he will be on his way if Dowie comes in. Which may now happen.
Rodders Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 The report suggested that he will be on his way if Dowie comes in. Which may now happen. It might just be them recycling an old story then. Apparently (according to the Mirror again) Dowie wanted Bishop for Coventry back in January: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...89520-20296564/
kevinwpratt Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 The report suggested that he will be on his way if Dowie comes in. Which may now happen. More when that if i think....... Milan just needs to work how much he needs to pay off another manager....
Staf Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I wouldnt want him here not that good for Bury really dont see why we would want him
dandannieldanok Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I wouldnt want him here not that good for Bury really dont see why we would want him He's scored about 20-25 goals this season and we can hardly attract the big name players. Would be a decent signing in my opinion, Bury are in no position to bleed us dry over him.

We can surely attract bigger names than Andy Bishop Just my opinion and i dont think he will be any good we have seen it so many times when players from the lower league become crap when they step up sorry but i wouldnt want him
Ric Flair Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I've been hearing good things about this lad. I want Maynard though.
barmy76uk Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I've been hearing good things about this lad. I want Maynard though. I think we have more than enough strike power here already! Hume (if he stays) Fryatt -Will prove himself in league 1 Sappleton will score for fun in this league McKay will score goals A.Chambers could score goals Odihambo ? Campbel if hes stil here Elvis? Howard if hes still here Do we really need to go on?these players will scare the hell out of teams in this league. We will have goals from the wing and goals from midfield! We have the best squad ever to play in league 1,we just need a manager to blend the youth with experience and get the boys playing football and winning games! Simon Grayson would be the right man for the job!

barmy76uk Posted 8 May 2008 Posted 8 May 2008 We wouldnt be where we are if we had enough strike power. We have had a negative manager and the confidence has been low,but next year we will score for fun! Promoted by march!
brookfox Posted 8 May 2008 Posted 8 May 2008 I think we have more than enough strike power here already! Hume (if he stays) - 15 goals maximum Fryatt -Will prove himself in league 1 - 10 goals maximum Sappleton will score for fun in this league - 5 max McKay will score goals - 0 A.Chambers could score goals - 5 max Odihambo ? - 0 Campbel if hes stil here - 10 goals maximum (could be more if we play to his strengths) Elvis? - 0 (been a naughty boy) Howard if hes still here - 10 goals maximum (could be more if we play to his strengths) Do we really need to go on? these players will scare the hell out of teams in this league. And that assumes they play as the main striker. Just how easy do you think this league is going to be?!
DanTheFox07 Posted 8 May 2008 Posted 8 May 2008 We have had a negative manager and the confidence has been low,but next year we will score for fun! Promoted by march! Wouldnt be so confident there, look at forest saying they would come straight back up and been there for 2 season`s, think premature so assume our players will score for fun in this league, think hume is the only one who could score for fun! then maybe fryatt could find his feet which would be a good start haha!
Father Ted Posted 8 May 2008 Posted 8 May 2008 I think we have more than enough strike power here already! Hume (if he stays) - 20 Goals Fryatt -Will prove himself in league 1 - 10 Goals Sappleton will score for fun in this league - 5 Goals McKay will score goals - 5 Goals A.Chambers could score goals - 5 Goals Odihambo ? - 0 Goals Campbel if hes stil here - 15 Goals Elvis? - 10 Goals - if he wants/can be bothered to play! Howard if hes still here - 20 Goals Do we really need to go on?these players will scare the hell out of teams in this league. I make that 90 Goals but I really can't see it I think we could definitely do with one more striker.
ousefox Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 He used to play for york where i watched him 20 times in a season and he was bluddy brilliant!! i no it iis conference level but i think he could do a job for us!! He is also very loyal too......he came back and wathched york most games he wasnt playing himself for bury!!
